Machine Head Added To Metallica's Wembley Bill

Machine Head has replaced Bullet For My Valentine as one of the opening acts for Metallica on July 8 at the Wembley Stadium in London, England. Also scheduled to appear are H.I.M. and Mastodon.

Bullet For My Valentine cancelled its appearance at Wembley and several other European dates in order to allow frontman Matt Tuck to undergo tonsillectomy (a surgical procedure in which the tonsils are removed).

Professionally filmed video footage of Machine Head's entire performance at the Download festival on June 9, 2007 at Donington Park, Leicestershire, England has been posted at YouTube.

I know a lot of people on this site hate BFMV. I actually think there's a lot more to them than the emo-tag that people slap on them. However, Machine Head is a very nice replacement. Those guys are kicking some major a$$ right now.

Album of the year? That's gonna be damn tough this year. We're only half way through, so it's a bit soon to make calls, but so far, I'll go with The Blackening. It was ridiculously good. All I can say is thank god they quit doing that burning red sh**!

f*** EMO was and is right except for the part about mastodon who belive or not suck, but that's just my opinion, at least I gave them a try at this and Download. Anyway back to the point Metallica have bot brought out a decent album since the black album really. To be honest HIM have more talent than Metallica do these days, that's not to put HIM down because metal needs that variation, even if some of us don't want it just like mastodon. I only wish machine head could draw the crowds metallica do, but i guess if the did their music would start to suck too!

I have a certain opinion about Machine Head that probably nobody else on this site shares. They aren't that great, thier new album I thought was supposed to be a real solid METAL album but had too much of a metalcore sound for me. The breakdowns suck and the clean melodic emotional "emo" singing didn't impress me at all. But besides that I think it was alright, the band could definately be a lot better though. Overrated
