Coheed And Cambria Recruit Foo Fighters Drummer
Coheed And Cambria frontman Claudio Sanchez tells Kerrang! that they've recruited Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins to play drums on their new album, following the departure of Josh Eppard in November 2006.
The band are busy recording the snappily-titled 'No World For Tomorrow', their follow-up to 2005's 'Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness' with producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters) at The Path studios, Hollywood.
"Taylor's actually brought a tremendous amount to the band," says Sanchez. "He's an interesting drummer in the fact that he's a songwriter, so when he's playing the drums he's not thinking of it as 'Oh, I'm a drummer, how flashy can I be?', he's really 'What is going to add to this song and make it the strongest it can possibly be?' So it's definitely a new take on that part of the band and I think it really works well."
'No World For Tomorrow' will be released in the autumn.

The Only people that like this band (as you can see from the two above posts) is little thirteen year old kids whos balls still haven't dropped. HAHA jesus if you thought this band was terrible before just imagine it with the foo fighters drummer. Now thats a combination that goes and makes this sh**ty band worse

Yeah, I'm well aware they're not metal.
To each their own I say but I cringe everytime I hear that band.
The vocals sound like the human equivalent of chalk shrieking across a chalkboard. Good for you for being more tolerant though.

New Found Power was the name of Damageplan's only album. Nothing to do with New Found Glory. Nice attempt at burning someone.Try to have some knowledge of real metal next time you post something on a site with metal and underground in the name. I don't really have anything against the Foo Fighters, and Dave Grohl's Probot project was actually enjoyable, but I don't think I will ever be able to stand Coheed.

Geddy Lee was a badass bassist though killer. Calm down. Just cause I don't like some band doesn't mean you got to get all defensive crying over it. RUSH was also original. Listen to some of his bass lines and you can understand that he's famous for them, not his vocals.

maybe all you idiots saying for claudio to hit puberty should listen to him talk in an interview and do something better with your time then being fags, posting this sh**. Seriously i have never heard anyone actually use any music knowledge to criticize coheed and cambria, its just childish b****ing. If you are going to comment on them negatively then how about some constructive criticism, and showing people that you have more then half a brain cell.
