Atreyu Announces Tracklisting Of "Lead Sails Paper Anchor"

Atreyu have revealed the track listing to their upcoming new album "Lead Sails Paper Anchor." It runs as follows:

01 - "Doomsday"
02 - "Honor"
03 - "Falling Down"
04 - "Becoming the Bull"
05 - "Slow Burn"
06 - "Two Become One"
07 - "No One Cares"
08 - "Can't Happen Here"
09 - "Lose it"
10 - "Blow"
11 - "Lead Sails (and a Paper Anchor)"

The album was produced by John Feldmann (The Used, Good Charlotte), mixed by Andy Wallace (Slipknot, Linkin Park) and is scheduled for an August 28th release date through Hollywood.

Metalcore is metal, thrash metal was originally heavily influenced by hardcore punk, especially bands such as Slayer, Metallica, Anthrax and Pantera. Motorhead and Iron Maiden also draw influence from punk/hardcore punk as well. So maybee you guys should think of that before you go and label metalcore as a separate genre from heavy metal just because they combine the two genres of music, without hardcore punk we wouldn't have metal as we know it and metalheads who can't even acknowlege that(weather or not you like hardcore) aren't real metalheads they're posers. Most metalcore is weak and played out though.

For the record? Sorry, can you point me to the great divine source that makes your opinion more powerful than the whole metal community? I I think both Metalcore and Nu-metal are genres unto themselves, not subgenres of metal and alot of the metal community agrees, hence the term mallcore. See Encyclopaedia Metallum. Lamb of God to me are metalcore, but a very metal metalcore, so much that it doesn't really pain me that people include them as metal. However, where does it stop? Next stop Atreyu? The reason I argue this stuff is because metal means a hell of alot to me.

But just like we don't call Thrash metal a subgenre of hardcore punk, we lump Metalcore under the umbrella of metal. I mean, this is coming from a guy who claims Dragonforce isn't metal.
