Dimmu Borgir Plan Hollywood In-Store Signing

Norwegian melodic black metallers DIMMU BORGIR will participate in an in-store signing on Thursday, May 17th at the Hot Topic store located at 6801 Hollywood Boulevard (at Highland) beginning at 4:30 p.m. Nuclear Blast grab bags will be given to the first 600 fans in attendence.

Beginning Friday, May 11th, fans who purchase the In Sorte Diaboli CD or a DIMMU BORGIR shirt at the Hollywood & Highland Hot Topic store will receive a wristband to attend the band's autograph session on May 17th. Offer is limited to one wristband per person. Space at the Hot Topic store is also limited.

Non-wristbanded fans who have already purchased In Sorte Diaboli are welcomed to bring their CD to get autographed; however, wristbanded fans will be given priority in line.

Yeah wtf, hot topic is turning into such a punk rock/emo scene (at least in my area) for any death metal/black metal band to do a signing there, is a definate sign of slight sell outness. dimmu borgir is still highly respected in my eyes. just confused on this decission

I agree that Hot Topic is more and more emo/scene/pop-punk/videogame nerd but Hot Topic is a major outlet and the still sponser big metal events ie Ozzfest Second Stage, i think FYE or other major record might have been a better choice, but at the end of the day Dimmu Borgir is just getting paid, but that does not make them sellouts, by any means
