Slayer and Marilyn Manson Announce Tour Dates

SLAYER and MARILYN MANSON have announced that they will co-headline a North American major-market summer tour beginning on July 25 on the East Coast. Plans are for the tour to play some twenty-five cities and wrap up early September on the West Coast. So far the following dates have been leaked:
Aug. 05 - Holmdel, NJ @ PNC Bank Arts Center
Aug. 31 - Houston, TX @ Reliant Arena
Plans are for the tour to play some twenty-five cities and wrap up early September on the West Coast. A full, confirmed schedule will be announced shortly.
MANSON and SLAYER will each play full sets, and two support bands, yet to be determined, will open all shows.

Gotta love all the overly testosteroned fueled opinions on how Manson does'nt hold a candle to Slayer. They are 2 completely different rock styles! While Slayers musicianship can't be questioned, Mansons songwriting stands alone. I will not miss this SHOW for the world.

Kerry King needs to come up with more creative riffs? He and Jeff have written many of the greatest metal riffs of all time. Mansons riffs consist of a couple power chords and he doesnt write most of it. Trent Reznor writes most of his stuff, at least his best stuff. Why do you think manson does so many covers? He can't write anything worthwhile by himself.

Just stating my opinion. I'm a slayer fan as well. It's just that Kerry King, especially on Christ Illusion, has some sloppy a$$ riffs. They go nowhere. King will never come close to Hammett, i'll tell you that much. So I'm gonna say it again....I like Manson more than slayer. You have a problem with that?

I defanitly like Slayer a ton more than Manson. Maybe because i havnt seen Mnason live. I did see Slayer. But as far as listening to music goes, i cant stand Manson, its just boring. Slayers show might not be as good as the Manson show, but there music is SO goos they don't need all that fancy crap to sell albums and get people to come to their concerts.

Seen Slayer, seen Manson. Verdict: Manson is the better showman by far. True Slayer came first (and are needless to say are quite talented at what they do), but unless you study them, then one solo sounds the same as the other. Plus I've met many Slayer and Manson Fans and I'm sorry to say this, but the Slayer fans were mainly made up of facist half-witted homophobes. Don't get me wrong, I'd sooner wear a medium sized Megadeth T shirt and ride the f***ing lightning with my Black RX10D Jackson than apply a ton of make up and sing shock-rock greats like Cake and Sodomy and Dope Hat, but if your looking for a great show with lots of diversity then for god's sake, don't look at Slayer because all you'll get is some ape yelling "SLAYERRRRRRR" next to you for over an hour ;)
