Slash: Guns N Roses, Sone Temple Pilot Reunion Gigs A "Good Idea"

Band Photo: Guns N Roses (?)
Slash was recently asked by MTV Brazil about a possible reunion of the original Guns N' Roses lineup. "It's been 12 years now... 11 years... and it just doesn't seem like one of those things that any of us are really thinking about doing," the Velvet Revolver guitarist said. "And I'm not saying never. I would say it would be a good idea to get, just for a couple of shows, to get the original STP and the original Guns N' Roses to do a couple of shows for the fun of it."

Slash is burnt out from VR. Can't blame him, boring stuff.
STP and GNR (for all their radio-ness) had some energy. I still despise Axl and struggle to understand how Weiland has managed to buy himself a decade and a half of relevance......But the reunion could only be good for fans.

(the new GnR is great and from a technical aspect, they are better musicians) Are you serious with that statement? Answer me this whens ther new record coming out? TO me this New GnR stuff is nothing but a myth to me. Unless its the original band that was on Appetite for disruction there is no GnR.

I have to admit the new GnR are far better musicians. Slash hasn't been the same since VR, he plays medicore riffs in that sh**ty "super group". Even if Axl is ass, he if the talent of GnR. Also, when they played VMAs a few years ago... it was a completely different band. Bumblefoot is the new lead Guitarist, and he is freaking brilliant. I saw him do a solo of the entire "Don't Cry" song. And it was possibly the greatest guitar showmanship I've seen. Slash is a very good guitarist, but his persona sells him more than anything else. You guys are to caught up in the good ole' days, and you agree with whatever your "rock jocks" say. Even listen to some of the GnR demos for Chinese Democracy... "Madagascar or Better" and you'll see why is Axl is GnR and why the new band is so good, Open your mind kids, change is good sometimes.

ryan gi is a slash hating firecrotch lover-- axl rose is a good singer but SLASH IS THE LEAD GUITARIST, look on any list of guitarist greats and slash will be in the top 5 at least and if the new gnr is so much better how come they took so friggin' long to make an album??????? also, compare THEIR album to slashs snakepit "Its 5 o'Clock Somewhere" slash doesnt need gnr to be great, all he needs is a guitar and people love him. i will partially agree w/ ryangi that slashs personality makes him loved, but that is NOT the only reson

Slash wasn't a member of the original GnR, so I guess he wouldn't be included in the 'reunion'. Either way, I hope it doesn't happen...the new GnR is great and from a technical aspect, they are better musicians.
