Original Devils Island Guitarist Dies at 21

Devils Island post the following update on their myspace page regarding the death of their first guitarist:
"It is hard and unreal to write this. One of Devils Island's founding members, Ivan Martynovich, died in a car crash saturday night. He was 21. Over these years, Ivan managed to do more crazy shit than most guys will ever think about. He was crazy, but he harbored wisdom, charm, the biggest heart and the biggest pair of balls Ukraine has ever produced. He died doing what he loved - driving fast. A true friend, a deserving son, and one of the few good men. We still cannot comprehend that he had to go.
...Peace brother..."

Never got to know him, but hear he was cool, hate to see people die younger than me, especially when it effects people I know. RIP.

Great thrash metal band out of NY. Sad when a person that helped make the band what it is today is gone.
