Chris Cornell Delays Solo Album Release

Launch Radio Networks reports: Former AUDIOSLAVE and SOUNDGARDEN singer Chris Cornell's second solo album, "Carry On", has had its release date pushed back from May 1 to June 5. No explanation was given for the delay. Cornell began working on the disc last fall after the release of AUDIOSLAVE's third album, "Revelations". News of the solo project fueled rumors of a split with AUDIOSLAVE, with Cornell officially leaving the band last month due to "irresolvable personality conflicts as well as musical differences." The 14-track effort will feature "You Know My Name", Cornell's theme for the latest James Bond film, "Casino Royale", as well as a cover of MICHAEL JACKSON's "Billie Jean".
Cornell has also contributed a song to the soundtrack of the movie "Bug" and told Launch a little about the movie. "It's based on a play, but it's sort of, it's also an extremely edgy film," he said. "It's an indie film, it's kind of the opposite of the Bond movie in that sense. But an extremely entertaining and powerful movie. I'm not gonna bother trying to describe it 'cause I couldn't help but give it away. But it's definitely a movie to go see, it's extremely intense."
"Bug", which stars Ashley Judd and was helmed by "Exorcist" director William Friedkin, is due in theatres on May 25. The soundtrack also includes songs from VELVET REVOLVER frontman Scott Weiland and SYSTEM OF A DOWN vocalist Serj Tankian.

I agree with Remembermetal?. I think he knows that his sh1t is weak, and that nobody wants to hear him outside of Audioslave anymore. I think he's painted himself into a corner, and I hope his record flops harder than Mick Jagger's Goddess in the Doorway. That album flopped harder than Roseanne Barr's titties. Chris Cornell deserves no less.

euphoria morning is his most underrated and perhaps greatest work to date. it really allowed his vocal abilities to shine through. i have high hopes for another chris cornell solo. why is it that a bunch of bored kids with internet connections have to rip on people that are so much cooler than them just to feel good about themselves? pathetic.

Here we go, again just because we don't like somebody, we are not cool and pathetic. What if I said that you are not cool and pathetic because you like Chris Cornell ? (I don't really think that moonchild, it's just an example). I mean please don't use those arguments. I respect you and your opinion about Chris Cornell but not everybody likes him that much. It's cool that you like is music and i hope that its going to fullfill your hopes but please don't use those arguments, it's a tad overused.
