Metallica Announce European Festival Dates

Dates for Metallica's summer European festival run have been announced. They are as follows:

July 1st in Werchter, BEL @ Rock Werchter Festival
July 3rd in Athens, GRE @ Rockwave Festival
July 5th in Vienna, AUT @ Rotundenplatz
July 10th in Oslo, NOR @Valle Hovin Stadion
July 12th in Stockholm, SWE @ Stadion
July 15th in Helsinki, FIN @ Olympic Stadium
July 18th in Moscow, RUS @ Lushniki Stadium

The band will begin recording their new album with producer Rick Rubin (Audioslave, Slipknot) on March 12th.

Saw them at donnington in 04, shame the almost caused a riot by not telling us why they were delayed for over an hour..

But seeing Dave Lombardo and Joey Jordison playing with the other 2 members of 'tallica (and that fat dredded bassist) was an ok end to the fest...
Shame they were out played by numerous bands over the weekend, including Pennywise.
