Guns N Roses Delay "Chinese Democracy" Yet Again, Claims Recording Complete

In a move certain to surprise almost no one, Guns N' Roses has once again pushed back the release date of the band's long-awaited, oft-delayed album, "Chinese Democracy," reports liveDaily.com.
The band's frontman, Axl Rose, had announced back in December a tentative release date of March 6 for the album, which would be GN'R's first studio set since 1991's "Use Your Illusion." At the time Rose made the statement, the singer was explaining the cancellation of the band's January tour, ostensibly to stay in the studio and finish the album.
"It takes approximately eight weeks for an album to hit the shelves once it has been turned in to the record company," Rose said in December. "For whatever reasons, it appears that it may have been mistakenly inferred by management that this time period could be condensed to three weeks. With that being said, this is not a promise, a lie or a guarantee, but we do wish to announce a tentative release date of March 6."
In a new posting on the band's website, however, the group offers no release date for the disc, official or tentative.
"The good news is that all of the recording for the album has been completed," the message, signed by the band's longtime road manager and Rose confidant Del James, states. "Drummer Frank Ferrer and guitarist Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal integrated themselves into the recordings seamlessly and will have their presence felt.
"There is no official release date, as the band is currently mixing, but after some delays and scheduling difficulties, things appear to be moving along."
The current delay is merely the latest in a long string for "Chinese Democracy," which Rose has been working on for over a decade. During that time, GN'R has gone through several lineup changes, and even toured extensively in 2002 under the banner of "The Chinese Democracy Tour." The group has made several unofficial live appearances since Rose's December announcement, including one at an early February gala on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills honoring Donatella and the late Gianni Versace.

Big surprise here. Axl is just way to chicken to release ChiDem. I just can't imagine what he is so scarred of. I've been listening to some of the Chi-Dem tracks since I got the Rock n Rio performance from 2001 years ago & they weren't bad. How much more mixing & re-mixing needs to be done to an album. Just hire Andy Wallace & call it day...

Velvet Revolver just delayed their album too......so who can you really count on????????
Personally I like GNR and VR and I will buy the album if it is ever released. It is getting a little ridiculous though. Then again, who are we to tell them how to do their business?
So......how long does it take to mix an album?

Axl Rose is a big fat retard who had to duct tape his titties to his gut at the MTV music awards. Mr. GNR4LIFE apparently has no problem wasting money on a fat cokehead. But I somewhat agree with BodomBastard (nice name) only my theory differs in that maybe Chinese Democracy is a well-planned trap to find all the morons on the planet, and maybe the booklet will be filled with anthrax or something so when a dumb music consumer opens it up to read the awe-inspiring lyrics, they're coughing and gasping for their life! Then when all the idiots are no more, the Killers, the White Stripes, Flyleaf, and the rest of the bands for retards won't be able to sell any more records! GNR's Chinese Democracy is a thinly veiled attack on the musically inept. Let's hope they're not too dumb to know better.

I saw GnR perform last year in Germany at Rock am Ring and they played amazing!! And Axl's voice was super!! I tell you that talk about Slash and the other being better then the gunners from now is bullsh**! Slash is so overrated and there are SO MANY good guitarplayers out there and Robin Finck does the job just as good as Slash did it! It is a GREAT band and Axl is the driving force behind it, and if he wants to work on his (slow) ritme, well then be it like that, who are we to demand an album from a band? We should be happy to get an album if it comes!
Regards, Christian.

all these bands need to get over themselves and just f***ing get out there and play.
soundgarden, rage, stp, gnr and even van halen. nobody really seems to be worth a sh** with the original bands. some good music has come out of these supergroups, but they just don't have whatever the hell it is they have with their original bands.

Who cares if the album isn't released on march 6th? It's absolutely coming, if you doubt it...I guess you're setting yourself up for a nice surprise. It will be out soon enough. Epic album will hit the stores this year. Oh and Slash has a new car commercial coming out soon...unless he delays again like the new VR album. GnR are back to save us from the Contraband and Nickelbacks....Enjoy.

Axl's voice is back and he looks ready to keep touring which they plan to do with dates in April for the Coke Fest in South Africa. I think the album will hit stores in the summer or early fall of 07. I hope it shuts a lot of the idiots up that really only know what they read on these sites and still try to act like they know something just to bash the band. I still think the name should be changed but I think the album will live up too or be close to being worthy of the Gn'R banner. It sure will be better than any of the emo bullsh** on the airwaves now a days.

Duh. It's gonna be funny when this album, after all these delays, hits shelves and it's gonna suck so fvckin' hard and everyone knows it will. Guns and Roses without Slash is like the Jimi Hendrix Experience without Jimi Hendrix. This album's gonna be worse that the self-titled Motley Crue CD. The one with "Hooligan's Holiday" on it. And if no one remembers that album, it sucked BAD. So go ahead, Axl, with your delusions of grandeur like anyone respects you anymore. Like there's a single person on the planet who isn't gonna download that album for free. Axl is a f***ing broke, fat, has-been, and it's time to explore other avenues. Like, maybe, production, or sound engineering, or, hell, sucking c0ck in the alleyways of Los Angeles. This fat bastard would be better off as a professional wrestler than a lead singer. It's not like his music sucks or anything, it's that this guy has gone out of his way to make an idiot of himself. And that's to the industry and the fans. Maybe 20-30 old biker hags with a few dollars leftover from their neighborhood crack sale might be able to go buy it, but anyone interested in buying it would be better off giving their money to a guy who will turn around and run down the street with it. Actually, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that anyone who buys this album DESERVES to have their grandmas' anuses filled up with dog pen1s and/or molten lava.
