Tool To Headline Bonnaroo Festival

As of February 14, Tool has officially been listed as one of the headliners for the 2007 Bonnaroo Music and Arts festival. Over the past few months, there has been much debate as to whether the four piece, metal power house would actually be among the headliners at this years festival. Rumors regarding Tool’s attendance of the three day long music festival were sparked when Trey Anastasio (lead singer of the Vermont based jam band Phish) stated in a Rolling Stones interview late last year that “Tool is the most psychedelic band around… they should headline Bonnaroo 2007.” Both the official Bonnaroo and Tool websites released the lineup on Valentines Day, giving anxious Tool fans and Bonnaroo hopefuls an ultimate answer.

why do people get so p.issed when someone says a band they like sucks? does that persons opinion really have that kind of influence on your life?and maybe that guy listens to alot of the same bands you like also,so by default, you too would listen to gay s.hit. hmmm

if tool is trendy then so is godflesh, isis, pelican, mouth of the architecht, etc.........tool rules, they are the most unique major label metal band out there today (and yes, that includes LOG, SF, Mastodon, etc) bonarroo or whatever the f*** its called (even though i should know b/c one of my college roomates went there) is absolutely an all out hippie fest so i think it rules that tool is gonna spread the metal gospel there.

tool is ok. by far not the greatest but ok. bonnaroo is a place i wouldn't think tool would fit. AHH I SEE THE LIGHT. tool's greedy a$$ needs $$$ since Ozzfest is free this year. F*ck the Roll Stones and tool for being greedy. lame asses. Why don't they play for free at Ozzfest and leave the patchouli kids alone. WAIT they are probably hippies at heart, but then again Maynard or whatever his last first name is made that comment about a 'bob marley freak' on that one cd.............trust me, they like anyone who gives them moolah......no me though. but like I said I find took to be a marginal band, it's just every album sounds the same DUDE
i am done.

first of all he said throw that bob marley lookin motherfukker out of the show my guess he probably was a drunkend/drugged out
squatter or some sh** and trying to start some bullshiit. Tool is alright for easy listening and i can see this going well esp with the psychedelic atmosphere of some of thier songs but i listen to all kinds of shiit. So i can see why some folks esp metalheads thinking that this band is a bit overrated.
