According to Revolver magazine, Meshuggah is nearly halfway through the writing process for their next album. Writing commenced in August and the band has completed (sans vocals) roughly four tracks. Meshuggah hopes to finish the album by March, with a May release planned. Comments drummer Tomas Haake, "We've got some fast, intense songs and hectic, heavy stuff that draws from all the things we've done in the past. It's so great to actually be playing drums again."

I'm really looking forward to this. I hope they change it up and go back to the old style (insted of 30 min. songs). As much as I like "I" and "Catch 33" I miss their old style. I would like to see the new album be like "Nothing" will some more wild twists.

^If you have "Nothing" then I wouldn't spend the money on the remastered work. If you havn't heard this album yet then you really need to.

^ Cynic, You need to start with "Destroy Erase Improve." Hands down that is there best. If you love it then pick up "Nothing" and then if you wanna check out their new style pick up "I" and be blown away.

Cheers, I've heard a few of their songs like "New Millenium Cyanide Christ" and "Future Breed Machine" which I thought were pretty good so I'm looking forward to Destroy Erase Improve.

Porcupinetreefan (a longtime favorite band of mine btw) is dead on with regards to DEI.

Broke down and got Re-Nothing off iTunes.

I own the original but this is like a whole new way of hearing it....100% worth it....Been listening to I and Catch 33 so much I forgot how fantastic this one is.

Perfect!! Psychotically odd time signatures!!!! Meshuggah is proof that you don't have to have songs that have hooks or make sense to be great!

Now Playing:"R**k the Vote" from Carcass
