Trivium are trekking across Europe with their heroes Iron Maiden. Read on for a few thoughts from the band?

"Power and melody... Two words that describe exactly what we are witnessing every night touring with and supporting IRON MAIDEN.

"It is simply amazing to see what MAIDEN does night in and night out the entire show is totally outrageous the music and performance, the musicianship, the staging, the light show and production its awesome, all of it sets a very high standard and it goes without saying we are really excited to be a part of this historic tour.

"The first three sold-out shows in Finland were great and we really appreciate the support of the MAIDEN fans that enjoyed our set. Tonight we are in Stockholm for the first of four sold-out shows across Sweden tonight and tomorrow night we are at The Globen in Stockholm.

"'The Crusade' continues to do well and it appears more and more people are getting into the new record so we thank you for the support and hope to see you at one of the shows.

"We are touring with IRON MAIDEN until December 23rd then we will head to Japan in January 2007 and then we will finally hit Australia and New Zealand for Big Day Out and a string of TRIVIUM headline shows."

they are quite talented godlike, and i know that is just your opinion but.........i gotta say, ive seen them a bunch and they suck live. they are more concerned w/ their sound the whole time they spend most of their show motioning to him and missing notes. these guys tried to go way too big on thier latest album way too fast. they are so over the top with the new stuff (not to mention the total hetfield biting vocal style that heafy is using now) that they sound like an 80's thrash tribute band and not themselves. i think that they are trying way to hard....and that is only my opinion.

I really really wish another band were supporting Maiden, cant stand trivium in any way.
At least theres an extra band in the shape of Steve Harris's daughters band opening the gigs.
Dragonforce would have been a far far superior band to open for Iron Maiden.

If you honestly think that Trivium is not a much better band after the release the The Crusade you are indeed a musical moron. Not only is the hardcore-styled screaming very quickly going out of style, but focusing mainly on clean vocals shows the band has matured and is smarter given that they are now exposed to a much larger audience.

the only problems i have with the new album are the cheesy lyrics, the vocals arent bad but the lyrics are pretty bad in most of the songs. i think some of them are not as melodic as ascendancy either which is something i look for in metal. overall the album is good though. i didnt like it too much at first but it has grown on me. and crusade is a f***ing awesome instrumental. the guitar work is superb as always though.
