Ozzy Osbourne To Headline Second Stage Of Ozzfest 2007?

There are unconfirmed reports that Ozzy is to headline the second stage on next year's US Ozzfest tour. No official announcement is expected for some time though.

During the 2006 Ozzfest tour, however, Ozzy intially planned to play (headline) the second stage for only two shows, but then expanded that to the majority of his appearances to second stage headlining.

none of them would surprise me...they are all big money draws at metal festivals and that is what ozzfest is all about. for the past two years the unholy alliance tour and sounds of the underground have offered healthy alternatives to the way too heavily commercialized sharonstock.

If all three of the bands mentioned in post 1 do indeed tour on Ozzfest next year, $haron may get a little of my money because damn, that's a great lineup in and of itself. As long as they don't sign twenty-five thousand other bands and make everyone's set 30 minutes long, then it looks like Ozzfest is on the right track with this one. All that's left is Slayer, Dream Theater, Children of Bodom, or a combination of the three. And then a few more bands that are less popular in the U.S., like Zeromancer or Megaherz. Perfection.

In Flames probably won't be on it, they've already said that they wouldn't want to play it again after the 05 ozzfest.

No, you won't see Megaherz on Ozzfest in 2007. Yes, they are a good German metal band, but they do not have the popularity to even tour the U.S. on their own. Maybe Heaven Shall Burn? I don't know who would be headling next year, but I hope it's anything better than this year's PATHETIC lineup - except for DragonForce.

Rammstein punched through in 2004 - and they known WORLDWIDE. It's always a possibility if Megaherz decides to at least Tour the U.S.?!

Ozzy in the lineup?! kick ass!!!!
but ozzfest has signed the worst ever lineups from all these new "metal" bands. putting sh**ty lineups of bands not even related to or have anything metal about them. ozzfest sucks but this year with Ozzy in it, hell yeah!!!
