After 13 years, speedcore pioneers Cryptic Slaughter have reunited three of their four original members and are working on material for a proposed fifth album. The present line-up includes Bill Treadway (formerly Bill Crooks, vocals), Rob Nicholson (bass), Les Evans (guitar), and Brian Lehfeldt (drums).

"The recent renewed interest in the band has definitely inspired us, but truthfully, we're just having a lot of fun making the music again," said Les. "There's a new generation of fans who understand that Cryptic SlaughterR helped to invent the genre." Brian adds, "This is Cryptics's return to extreme music. Like Money Talks, there is a good mix of fast and heavy, but our new music has a definite emphasis on speed."

It goes without saying that everyone involved is ecstatic about working together again after such a long time. Currently, the band is focused on writing and recording new material. Dave Merrick (SPAZZTIC BLURR, SWEATY NIPPLES, TV: 616) will engineer and co-produce. All interested parties are encouraged to contact Les at CrypticSlaughter@webtv.net.
