Atreyu Leaves Victory, Signs With Hollywood Records

Band Photo: Atreyu (?)
Atreyu's rumored departure from Victory Records is apparently official, as the group has now joined the Hollywood Records roster. Here's a statement from the band:
"As a group of friends playing music, our main goal is to grow and spread our brand of metallic rock around the world. We try to progress and grow on each album we record. We feel that Hollywood Records is the perfect place to continue to grow while maintaining our freedom to do whatever the hell we want with our songs. We look forward to our future with Hollywood. They have shown a real interest in us for quite a while. To put it simply, they are down for us and we are down for them."

this band almost kicked a$$ about 6 years ago....then they found mascara and decided to take the p***y road all the way to the bank. i can see the tour now.....a7x headlining, from awesome to average and trivium as direct support w/ atreyu opening. i will not be anywhere near that tour but im sure a billion 16 year olds will be loving it......( dont get excited kiddies, that's not a real tour....yet)

opethsuck, i dont mind trivium actually but they are just trying way to hard. they are tremendously talented musicians without a doubt. their new album is just too much of a blatent attempt to recreate And Justic For All. every band has influences but these guys wear them on their sleeve which i dont really like. I really hope they turn the ship around and they are the one band that i listed that im pulling for, but i think they are gone. they still have potential, but i think they just want to be too big too fast.

Anti-Slayer I agree with you 100% on that. The thing with Trivium is I think they are trying very hard, they think just because Metallica likes them that maybe they should try to sound like Metallica. At least they don't sound like the new Metallica, right? lol But I think the singing isn't that great, especially the new stuff (Hetfield) but the music is great! And yeah they are probably still trying to find their own identity and they will find it soon enough. Are they even 21 yet?

NOTE: THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE SHOULD'VE BEEN AT THE TOP BUT BEING AS I AM LATE....... HERE IT GOES: Let the criticism begin!....... this band used to be cool...... when everyone was saying Atre-who? but all the emo got too out of hand... a little sorrow here and there made the songs a little interesting being that the world is really f ucked up and a really big sh!t-ho... but I say let the criticism begin because of the move to the "hollywood" label sure people would say they should've stayed with Victory but the road to them being sellouts must continue
