Maynard James Keenan, of Tool and A Perfect Circle notoriety, has another project in the works; in an outfit known simply as Puscifer, Keenan lets his creative juices flow unhindered. Maynard, and special guests he works with on any particular song, are just getting the project off the ground, with only a few songs yet done, one of which, Rev 22:20, was featured on the Underworld soundtrack. Now Puscifer is announcing the launch of its official corner of the web, www.puscifer.com, which will open its gates to the world on October 13th. Head along to check out the latest in Puscifer news, hear the project's musical offerings, and even purchase some brand new Puscifer merchandise.

I'm curious about this project but I'm not so keen on what I've heard so far, kinda "meh"....
Just for the uninformed MJK has been a favorite singer of mine for 14 years, so I'm f***ing entitled to have reservations without all the fanboy worship that I SHOULD be throwing at any little sh** project he does...
I'm so pathetic I'll still prolly buy it though....
hahahahah. i like your style.
I really liked Rev 22:20, myself. It was a new experience for me. The song seems to dabble in the mysterious, by creating this character (probably meant to be some sort of feminine satan, at first glance - havn't actually read lyrics or anything, so first glance is about as far as i got), and we all get right into mysterious stuff, don't pretend like you don't, hahah. But more than that, this is the first song I've heard that seems to me to be openly lathered in eroticism, desire, lust, and all of that. Now, before you guys get all weirded out, I'm not saying the song made me horny, hahah. That would be odd. But I did find the song to be extremely sexual in this kind of unexpected, erotic way. I'm not entirely sure how to say what I mean, so I probly look a real d***head right now, but that's alright. I'll live.
...I can see where your coming from Psythe.
APC is/was a band about relationships, struggles and most centrally longing and loss.
Tool is the contemplative giant....In short, they like to lecture.
Tool are willing to crush the listener but they favor reasoning while holding the threat of violence (particularly Opiate-Aenima to highlight the message). Tool likes being the messanger that you can't have killed I guess.
I can see Puscifer being Keenans sensual Id outlet.

I think it is really beautiful that Manayd is going to give us another taste of just how deep his talents in the art of music and what a uniquely diverse composer he is. I have been on the Puscifer site today for the first time and am extremely excited about the new project.
If Tool were to end it wouldn't be due to Puscifer...I think the last album has done well enough for everyone in Tool to want to come back and make another in a couple years...Even if 10,000 Days was a bit of a letdown compared to every other Tool cd I own, I still love it.
