Canadian quintet The End has completed work on their new full-length album for Relapse Records. The as-yet-untitled release was recorded at BWC Studios in Brampton, Ontario with producer Greg Dawson (Tiger Army). The End vocalist Aaron Wolff (the band is rounded out by guitarists Steve Watson and Andrew Hercules, bassist Sean Dooley and drummer Anthony Salajko) describes the record: "This is definitely a huge step for us in so many different ways. We tried a lot of new things that we have stayed far away from in the past, and also expanded on the ground that we have laid out in the past. Greg has been a close friend of the band since we started out so it was really easy for us to be able to express our thoughts to him and then work to make them reality."

"We are so happy with the sound of the record and totally excited about the new songs." Wolff continues: "We've spent the last year putting them together, and there is now physical proof of what we've been devoting our lives to. We knew what we wanted to do, and how we wanted to do it. And because we were able to explore new ideas, and work things out in the studio, we were able to do the songs justice this time." Post-production will commence this fall with a February 2007 release date expected.
