H.I.M. Cancel US Tour Dates To Record Album

HIM have announced the cancellation of their fall tour. The band will not be playing scheduled U.S. shows in favor of entering the recording studio (see canceled dates below).

The band have been steadily writing material for their forthcoming album and are eager to start preliminary rehearsal of very early tracks. HIM have not been able to test any new material due to their busy touring and promotion schedule. This fall will be the first opportunity for the band members to talk and work out new HIM material for a 2007 release.

Singer Ville Valo explains the band's decision: "Our dearest fellowship of the Heartagram, you haven't seen the last of us yet. We just want to keep it fresh for you and stump you with new material. I didn't feel that I could do that without rehearsing some of this stuff that's stuck in my heart. We're happy to have new fans come aboard the ship, but I feel we've got to keep it exciting and new. We've started writing and I can't wait for you guys to hear what we're working on."

The band have spent the last year touring non-stop behind Dark Light. Most recently completing a successful spring U.S. headlining tour with stops at Jimmy Kimmel Live and Last Call With Carson Daly along the way.

Oh yeah and I'd be p***ed if I were the other bands and they did this. I'd even be more p***ed off if I actually liked these f***ers and had a ticket. At least finish your damn tour, it's only 11 shows.

Trust me I saw them last year, they really are that bad! One of the worst bands I've ever seen. The only bands I've seen that were worse were Bullet For My Valentine, The Others and Funeral For A Friend. I would also like to add that I anticipated their every one of those bands presence with no bias feelings either way before anyone shoots their mouths off at how I didn't give them a chance or whatever. I did. Trust me. He is the worst frontman ever. He just stood mumbling with a fag in his hand talking total sh** inbetween songs. I think the guy's pretty cool in interviews and sh** but he can't play for sh**!

u know what>; why don't u all just shut the f*** up and leave HIM and ville the hell alone! i'm pretty upset myself that they cancelled cuz i was supposed to go, but, o well! i'll live! there gonna have a new album out next year, and then they'll be going on tour for that! im sure they'll make up the dates they cancelled then! and diamond oz, everyone has a right to their own opinion, but, u really don;t know what your talking about! ville is an amazing singer and musician, i mean serreously, u judge him, fine! then let's see u go on stage infront of thousands of people and sing for hours, and do good! then u can tell me he's bad!

Okay, in defense for Diamond Oz he did see them live and he thought they sucked. Simple as that. And playing for hours? They play a maximum of an hour and a half as a headliner that's it. Have you seen them live? Because you didn't mention that. At least he did give them a try and sadly I heard that a7x puts on great shows so I paid $15 dollars to go see them. I thought they sucked and there was nothing special. So don't tell people they don't know what they're talking about when they've stated that they saw them live. And playing in front of thousands of people. You can't even see half of the damn crowd in the first place. lol And it doesn't make them special that they're "able" to do it. Look at how many f***ing bands that there are. Every single one of them plays shows. I'm actually surprised at how many people actually like this band.

Yes I tell you he's bad because he's a sh** frontman! We got bored of bottling him and the only satisfaction I got from HIM was the fact that I was at the front and he heard call him a wanker. Also "everyone has the right to an opinion but you don't" you've contradicted yourself really there haven't you love? And cheers Opethsuck!!! for the support. It's not like I called everyone that likes HIM total retards or anything, besides, I do have my own band and we have never got as bad a crowd reaction as the one HIM got when I saw them.

brooke brooke i pitty u i actually like him .....somewhat not a big fan but i can admitt that they have talent and that i have gone to one of their concerts and it sucked and also even if hes recording an album and will probably tour for it that wasnt the point the thing is that he canceled and that tons of his fans were left with a ticket that would serve them no good and itsnot like hes gonna go and invite all the ppl that didnt get to see him go to teh concerts for free
