the album has leaked and the new album is a real disappointment. It's way to slow, melodic and un-aggressive for being a the haunted album, I miss the god 'ol days when they f***ing trashed the world under their feet.
I'm not saying slow and melodic songs are bad but this is the haunted damn it, they are supposed fast and aggressive.

Well ... my first take on it -- I was just shocked! After a few listens, though ... wow, it really *really* grows on you. There is still a lot of the fast stuff but it is blended with the riffier style they displayed on the last disc. Peter's vocals have so much *emotion* -- a real welcome change from all the gruffness and screaming that is so prevalent in heavier music.
Awesome stuff --- and with me they had something to prove. I would have been much more disappointed if they had rehashed the older stuff. I *want* something new... something now.
I, for one, can't wait to get the Digipack and dig into the 'making of' DVD :-)
