According to Hits Daily Double, LAMB OF GOD's "Sacrament" (Epic) is poised to sell between 75,000 and 80,000 copies in the United States during its first week of release to land at position No. 6 on The Billboard 200 chart. The final first-week sales figures will be announced on Wednesday, August 30.

"Sacrament", entered the Australian chart at position No. 25 (right behind PARIS HILTON).

"Sacrament", the second Epic Records studio release from LAMB OF GOD, was issued individually and as a CD and DVD deluxe edition, which includes over 90 minutes of special behind-the-scenes footage of the making of "Sacrament". This special deluxe edition of "Sacrament" chronicles the making of the album from the early stages of writing and rehearsing to the actual studio recording. Filmed during the spring of 2006, the footage captures the intensely personal aspects of the album making process as well as taking a sneak peek inside the band's private lives. The DVD contains interviews from each band member as well as director's cut versions of two videos from the upcoming release, including the first single, "Redneck".

This album is sick.
Songs "Walk With Me In Hell", "More Time To Kill" and "Pathetic" make this album worthy of Billboard material.

Glad they've cut out alot of the political junk.

I thought the political sh** was great.

"Now You've got Something to Die For"...priceless lyrics in that one.

The personal experience lyrics are going to resonate more for me in the long run, but I found LOGs commentary on Palaces and Ashes to be effective, agree with them or not.

Sacrament was a bit disappointing, but I heard they said somewhere that this album was nothing special, they were just going back to the basics. If so, I guess it does the trick, but I was hoping for something rivaling the technical execution and complexities of their previous releases.

Kinda sounds like they're trying to rehash the ol Pantera sound like 30 other bands are trying to do these days. Not very impressed, but I gotta give'em credit for being great musicians.

agree w/ drunkenirishmetal...i was hoping for something a little more technical and crushing. However, they definitely deserve this success. They have been w/out a doubt one of the hardest working bands in metal over the last decade, and i cant think of many other bands that id rather see reap the rewards of major label success.

LoG are the best band in metal right now, and they deserve to have this kind of success.

I've grown tired of the whole "technical" thing. I even hate the word "technical" now. why does everything have to be "technical'?

I have to say I was expecting more from Lamb of God on this album. It's a good album and all, both musically and lyrically, but like some of you have said it doesn't hit as hard as say Ashes or Palaces.

I think this album has more gritty or dirty sound. I think this is what Lamb of God was feeling. So be it. Great Album. If you dont like this album then dont listen to it fags. Hypocrisy Rules!!!

"New American Gospel" is the only LOG album lacking in my collection... and no one mentions it here when comparing "Sacrament" to previous works... does it suck that bad? Should I spend cash on some other worthy record?
