Brokenbroadcast has posted an interview with Johnny, vocalist for much raved-about metallers Job For A Cowboy. Excerpts from the interview follow:

BB: You guys participated on a few selected dates of The Sounds of the Underground tour and the Beers and Steers Tour, talk about that.
Johnny: We left late May to kick off the Steers And Beer tour, but before that we did a few weeks worth of the dates of the Necrophagist and Arsis tour. The Necrophagist tour was a bit shaky with our new guitar player, Bobby, he only had a few weeks to learn our set, but thankfully hes a great guitar player and got in the swing of things in just a few shows. The tour was great, packed shows every night. As soon as that was done we jumped in and started the Steers and Beers tour with Cattle Decapitation, Misery Index, From A Second Story Window and Animosity. We were surprised over how well the shows were doing, we had alot of fun and we miss those guys really badly. It ran straight for 2 months, I think there was only one day off of the entire tour. After months of touring we had a day off at home, and then we jumped on 3 of the Sounds Of The Underground dates. It was amazing playing with alot of our favorite bands, just being peers with them. We hope we can do the entire tour next summer.

BB: Is there any information on a new record?
Johnny: Well, after this over three months of touring and signing to Metalblade we came home to take a break from playing shows. Taking a break to write our debut full length to get released on Metalblade. If all works out, we're heading in the studio late November to start recording, and then hopefully a few months after that it will be in stores.

BB: What are tour plans for the future? Is there anything lined up for fall?
Johnny: Tour plans right now are still up in the air, we just plan on heading back on tour in January to support our full length.

BB: What is the goal for the band and how do you see yourselves fulfilling it?
Johnny: We just hope that we can keep doing what we love, and hope we can gain some fans out of it. There really isnt a better feeling out there.

What's Next?
