New Jersey's The Dillinger Escape Plan announced they've finally completed new mini-album, Irony Is A Dead Scene, with Mike Patton on vocals.
Said to be "something new for both Dillinger and Patton fans alike," Irony Is A Dead Scene is the first recorded work from the band since 1999's heralded Calculating Infinity effort. The album was produced by Chris Badami at Portrait Studios in Lincoln Park, New Jersey. Irony Is A Dead Scene is four tracks spanning 18 minutes. Look for Irony Is A Dead Scene out August 27, 2002 on Epitaph Records. As for the band's second Relapse Records full-length, look for that to drop sometime in late 2002
