Korn's Family Values Tour Continues To Sellout

KORN’S THE FAMILY VALUES TOUR is back--in a big way--as fans in the south are turning out in record numbers to see this summer’s hottest tour.
Kicking off with a sold-out show of 17,000 rocking fans at Nashville’s Starwood Amphitheatre, THE FAMILY VALUES TOUR has gone on to set new numbers for the tour KORN created and headlined in 1998, as evidenced by shows in Atlanta, GA (17,900), San Antonio (17,000), Dallas (19,000) and Houston (18,000).
The tremendous response to the Family Values Tour comes on the heels of Korn’s Platinum-plus selling album SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE, which has been in the Billboard Top 100 for 35 weeks, and is the first release of their ground-breaking new joint venture deal with EMI and Live Nation.
“Korn’s new deals are working for all involved,” said Peter Katsis, senior VP of music at The Firm, co-owners of The Family Values Tour. “Through all of Korn’s new partnerships, we are able to blow up the Korn brand as well as being able to deliver a great bill and a great day for Korn fans.”

Geez last i checked the unholy alliance tour was selling out.......
I dont need you people to tell me how "powerful" I am, I do my job here for free as a service for the metal community, tell me what you people have done to help further the development of metal ? I highly doubt youve done anything near as significat as me, Im #3 all time in total posts on this site at nearly 900, totally over 400,000 views. I created my own weekly article "This Week In Metal" which gets well over 300 views a week successfully. I also have reviewed several cd's been to shows on reports and volunteered my time to interview bands for the masses to read.
No i dont think youve done anything near that significant, and I dont mean to sound like a biggot, or a holier then thou kind've person, its just my credibility vs korndoggs and the rest of the korn community. Thanks RM? for the input :)
That~is~all.

i like and respect what all of the staff members on this do. it is a great place to discover new bands, get current up to date news, and discuss metal 24/7. great job guys.
and i didnt think VTs headline was korn bashing, just funny irony.
and khris--thats nothing compared to the cracks most of us take a korn. get over it.

I hoped someone else would notice how I worded it :)
LOL Wow...how professional of you Vayne. It sounds to me your pretty much biased yourself. This whole site is sh**. You say your trying to keep the metal community and music alive...yet you cast out a band that is part of the genre and who helps bring people to this site and to learn of other metal bands. Way to go to support metal. Well, I think you've lost a metal supporter and visitor here. And I like Slayer, Lamb of God, SYL, and others aside from Korn myself..but Korn is the main reason why I visit here. Your unprofessionalism has turned me off..seriously. I think I'd rather visit another site on the web or visit each bands official sites themselves. So take care everyone...see ya. lol.

Vayne Theories if you did that to take a crack at korn and you run the site thats just sad.
...it is the truth though....
Khris is right. Well, I'll be seeing them at the Family Values tour on Aug. 19th 1) because they are awesome live and 2) to support them all the way
Rock On
(i wouldn't doubt it if my posts are erased) lol

If this whole site is sh** then f*** off. Obviously if you respond to this then it proves you do like this site after all. Fact of the matter is, VT worded it so it would be a little joke but it's real news nontheless. It's not like he wrote "fa**ot Korn and their queer patrol are a bunch of sellouts, but for once they're selling out arenas." That's not a pop at Korn 'cause I like Korn and Stone Sour. I'm just saying that there really is no need to get offended by this.

I GET THE POINT, ITS f***ED UP WHEN THE STAFF MEMBERS OF THIS SITE ARE GOING TO SIT AROUND AND BASH KORN!
VAYNE THEORIES GET OVER YOUR SELF!
TERMINATOR, AND DIAMOND OZ QUIT SUCKIN THESE STAFF MEMBERS d***!
YOU KNOW DAMN WELL THAT IT IS BULLsh** THAT THEY SIT AROUND AND POST NEWS ABOUT KORN JUST TO BASH THEM, AND I BET THE KORN THREADS ARE THE MOST VISITED ON THIS f***IN SITE!
AND PSYTHE YES HE DOES NEED TO RESPOND TO ME!

24. writes:
Sucking the staff members d***s are we Korndogg? Well then hows about I pull mine out so you can stare in shame while Terminator terminates your ass? I bet that's why you always write in capitals because you're compensating for summit and we all know what it is. I respect Korn but just like Slipknot, they got too mant fans with big f***in' mouths. Now I just post this and wait for you to come back with the predictable, "No, you got a big mouth and I'm gonna break it!" bullsh** that doesn't work on a single person on the internet because no-one knows anyone.

25. writes:
NO THATS NOT MY COMEBACK, I WRITE IN CAPITALS CUZ I f***IN CAN AND YOU CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT!
YES YOU ARE SUCKIN THEIR d***S BY SAYIN " I DONT CARE IF YOU BASH KORN CUZ YOU GUYS BRING US KICK a$$ NEWS, GOOD JOB GUYS" THATS f***EN BULLsh** AND YOU KNOW IT, THEY NEED TO BE A LITTLE MORE MATURE WHEN IT COMES TO DOING THEIR JOB, WOULDNT YOU SAY?

26. writes:
well, it is their site. but that's besides the point. so the headline is ironic? its called an attention getter. it probably did attract some non-korn fans and expose them to their success that otherwise would not have even bothered. keep in mind, not everyone who reads the articles responds to them. once you read the article, it is straight foward news about them selling out stadiums, or in simpler terms, making a sh** load of money. so no, i wouldnt say they need to be more mature.

27. writes:
First of all, I never said, "Good job guys" 'cause some of the stuff on here isn't worth looking at, but at the end of the day, I don't know anywhere else that's as updated this site. It's like, I like all sorts of music that would be bashed on this site but who cares? It's all about people's opinions, why should the mods be any different from the rest of us? Also, you didn't really do yourself any favours by saying "I write in capitals and you can't do anything about it!" The mods are gonna word sh** however they want and that's something that no-one can do anything about, so stop whining like an emo b**** and get on with things.

your welcome. and thank you for the kind words terminator, oz, and death. Really i posted the headline doubting any1 would notice it. but it has become a big deal. In all actuality korn isnt metal. so "You say your trying to keep the metal community and music alive...yet you cast out a band that is part of the genre and who helps bring people to this site and to learn of other metal bands. " Normally most of these korn fans also like Little Jon and the likes anymore, since that is the direction korn is heading. I doubt im missing out on much there. and frankly if its bringing more people like Korndogg to this site, I thank I speak for everyone when I say we can afford to miss a few.

Vayne, let me clear this up for you. There was nothing wrong with your article...in fact it was good. Its what you said afterwards, " I hoped someone else would notice how I worded it :)". That is what I have a problem with. You see, if you had just stated your own opinion afterwards like..they suck...that would be ok. But you put it in your headline. Do you see where I am getting at here? When you are part of the staff you keep it professional. I don't believe RM or Deathbringer has written anything like this. I always see their Korn sucks comments which is cool and fun at times. But anyways, that's all I'm saying. But KORNDOGG got it...he understood what I was saying. I can't believe you didn't. hahaha Relax everyone. Don't get bent out of shape. Its just my opinion about a staff member...not Korn. So i'll leave it at that.

36. writes:
Obviously none of you (korndogg, says me) have gone to journalism school. Opinions are put into every article in the New York Times, Washington Post, and Chicago Trribune. It's called writing well. But then you're probably too dense to notice considering nothing was posted on here until a good hour and a half had lapsed when I pointed out the irony VT incorporated, not too mention the negative posts didn't start until the next day! Go to college and learn something ya Republican!

37. writes:
hahaha! yeah, opinions go in the opinion section. This was a headline news article not an opinions article. LMAO! DeathInEye, I understand....your trying to clean up the mess you made here. lol I'm sorry I'll leave now...but wait this is too fun. No i'll leave. Enjoy Family Values sept.10th KORNDOGG

omg, saw them Friday night!! What a a friggin crazy night! Stone Sour and Deftones were awesome! We were front row PIT. 3 feet from the stage. Before Korn came on, tons of people packed into the pit and we were totally smooshed like sardines.. and guess what........ I FREAKIN PASSED OUT and was pulled out -- BEFORE KORN EVEN CAME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But they sounded GREAT, and looked great. The whole entire place was PACKED and everyone was on their feet...... There was so much energy in there!!! Except that they only played an hour and skipped a few key songs, including the acoustic Hollow Life where they go out into the audience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

41. writes:
And, in response to the whole "selling out" thing -- and how people who run the site are "bashing them". WHO CARES??? Korn friggin ROCKS!! And he even put that in the article.....
The tremendous response to the Family Values Tour comes on the heels of Korn’s Platinum-plus selling album SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE, which has been in the Billboard Top 100 for 35 weeks.
THIRTY FIVE WEEKS in the top 100. HA! PLATINUM BABY! I say HE*LL YAH! Good for Korn! They worked long and hard to get to where they are today and deserve their fame. So, a few haters are not going to make a difference - because Korn is still going strong, and have millions of loyal fans worldwide who will continue to sell out these arenas to ROCK THEIR FU*CKING SOCKS OFF TO THE MUSIC OF THE BEST BAND EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was in the pit with LORLOR on Friday. I have to say that this was the most fu*cking amazingly insane experience I've had in my life. I had the best spot in the house. It was me, the rail, the security guard and JD. When someone says that KORN has sold out, apperantly they have no fu*cking idea of what the fu*ck they are talking about. This was the best show I've ever been to. I can't believe we came out alive. The reason why I say this is because the CROWD was INSANE. WHOLLY FU*CK PEOPLE!!!! It was so f***ing hot to begin with, I took my spot at 5pm and did not move till 11pm with no water and no bathroom and no cigarettes. The pit was packed for deftones but when KORN came out the crowd went fuc*king NUTZ. Even though I was covered in my sweat and other peoples sweat, I would do it all over again if I could.
KORN rocked my fu*cking socks off dudes. Like them or not, you can not deny the fact that they are fu*cking amazing live. By far, one of the best metal bands of all time. Yes, I said one of the best metal bands of all time.
KORN FU*CKING RULZ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

48. writes:
KORNDOGG- wish I was going with you :O) We totally got screwed, KORN played only for an in Phoenix. It took then an hour to set up the stage, so they cut it short. I was fuc*king p***ed. Been there for 7hrs at that point, waiting to see them. Out of the 21 songs that they were supposed to perform, they only did 11 I think. That was totally fu*cked. I feel cheated. JD sounded so fu*cking great, I did not want to leave.

51. writes:
Yeah, thanks for pointing that out Lorlor, it wasn't as our show was a horrification. I think there were too many people to begin with. We were packed in so tight. I can firmly recall the guy behind me, I can actually tell u how big his f***ing d*** was as it was firnly lodged between my butt cheeks, lol. so any ways, damn the f***ing roadies for taking so f***ing long to set up the stage. all in all, it was a great show, i was lucky enuff to see JD up close and personal. Sad for u tho. U fainted. Sorry babe, I had a enuff fun for the both of us.

what the f***? it's MUSIC it's ment to move you....and aparently it's moving enough people that they're packing arenas with thousands of people in one night and here you are bragging that you reach 300 in a week....i'm imf***inpressed.....you're REALLY doing some significant work there you dumbass f***in pissant...
