Man Arrested For Beating At Family Values Concert

WSBTV.com reports that Atlanta Police say they have charged a man with the murder of Andrew Richardson — who died after being beaten at a KORN concert.
Police say they have arrested 24-year-old Michael Scott Axley and charged him with Richardson's murder.
Richardson and his friends were attending a concert for the band KORN at the Hi Fi Buys Amphitheater July 30 when Richardson and Axley were allegedly involved in an altercation.
"We just went out there to have a good night," one friend, Eddie Arellano, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "It was starting off fun. And then this whole thing turned into a nightmare."
According to Arellano and others at the concert, there was a group of rowdy men at the show.
"These guys were just way too drunk. They had too many fights," Arellano said.
Earlier in the evening, some of the rowdies tumbled down a hill, crashing into Richardson and his friends. There was a brief scuffle, according to Bernice Averil, who was in Richardson's group. A little later, the rowdies returned and one of them snatched Richardson's cap.
"When they took his hat he stood up and said 'We've already had a fight. I don't want to have any problems.'" Arellano said, describing the moments just before the punch. "The guy threw the hat back at him. And when he [Richardson] caught it, the guy hit him in the face and he [Richardson] hit the ground and hit the concrete with the back of his head. He just collapsed.
"His face was bloody. It was bad. It was horrible," said Arellano, who also was Richardson's roommate. The person who threw the punch and that person's friend ran off, Arellano said.
Richardson sustained a serious head injury and he died August 1.

Small world-there had to be somebody there that he wasn't with that knew him. I got to thinking-if he had hit the guy during the first altercation, it could have been pled down to invol. manslaughter. He came back later, so that tells me they could go with premeditated homicide, especially since they had to go get him and he didn't just come forward. Just a thought.

Difference is he was looking for trouble. Specially since A) He'd already gotten in a fight with this cat earlier and B) The dude said that he wasn't looking for another fight but he decides to be a prick anyway. An even better example AVY LEE ROTH.A relatively popular but still obscure Porn Star who claims DAVID LEE ROTH as her father.(look at her eyes nose & jaw line.more than a passing resemblance)He never claimed her.So if she's telling the truth she's a shineing example of how much a child need's it's father.

It would be differnt if he were sober and it was a car accident but this was a drunk a$$hole who obviously felt that he had every right to punch a man who was only out for a good time and didn't want himself or his family hassled.

Personally, I don't believe in the death sentence. I mean, life in prison is a damned sight worse sentence anyway. And besides; a man kills someone. We call him 'murderer'. We kill him. It would follow that we should thus call ourselves 'murderer', and kill us all. Which could actually be a beneficial outcome for the environmental facets of this world that havn't yet been tainted by concrete and steel. But that's another argument.
Murder is murder no matter the victim. To murder a murderer is still murder, and makes you a murderer. That's my logic. Don't lower yourselves to their level.

I'm pro death penalty. I think that a debt is owed to society whenever someone deliberately breaks the law. Call it inhumane, call it what you will, there are two simple facts about capital punishment. 1. It costs far more to incarcerate criminals for years(housing, medical needs, and meals; as well as their appeals and frivolous lawsuits) than it does to execute them and be rid of them. 2. People are always worried about the rights of the accused/incarcerated. Where were they when he(predominately male statistically) was violating someone else's right to life? I think far too many people are getting locked up for drug and alcohol offences, and violent criminals and sexual predators are largely getting a slap on the wrist and beating the rap. Those are the people that need bullets in the brain stem, not someone so cracked out they don't know their name.

If this guy gets the chair I don't think it would be worth it. I'm not pro or con for the death penalty but with this guy I would rather him get f***ed in the a$$ by bubba then get killed lol. I am 100% FOR the death penalty, if it is due. Why should we have to pay for some sleezebag to live 20, 40, 60 years or longer in a prison to rot and then die? They keep them alive long enough on death row as it is. I think if a person is sentenced to death, they should have ONE year to fight it, and then bye-bye birdy. Ostracised, Lorlor, etc - the money issue is the one thing I think Capital Punishment has going for it. As the chinese government saw it, one bullet costs what? Compared to 80 years of food, accommodation, guard's wages, etc etc. The stupid thing is that even if the guy DOES get the chair (or lethal injection, I believe it is these days), he's still gonna be eating up tax-payer's money for the next 70 years, anyway. So you might as bloody well just give him Natural Life. Hell, I know I'd rather ANYTHING but to die of old age alone in a cold, dank, bleak and stoney prison cell. For the record, they don't MEAN to give Death Row Locals 60 years to come up with a case. Ostracised makes an excellent point, though; we need to stop sentencing drug users. Especially the ones that are doing it alone in their own house, not hurting anybody else. If you wanna crack down on drugs, go for the people that are importing and/or manufacturing the drugs. Not the users. It's a waste of time, effort, prison cells and money. I'm actually PRO legalisation, though I think it should be limited. We don't want people to get into the addiction cycle and end up vegetables. But I don't believe that recreational drug use, in moderation, is worthy of being a social sin. What people do whilst using can be a criminal offence, certainly. But not the using itself. Kind of like alcohol, if you follow.

Knowing that you cannot EVER go beyond this wall or that fence. Our legal system is so whacked here anyways. He will probably get 5 years. Check this out. A man (a high school English teacher) is arrested for having child porn on his computer. He has never actually touched any child, or done any harm to anyone. And he is sentenced 200 years total for all of his different charges. Now, check this out. A man KILLS his wife in cold blood, then he goes and stabs his 6 year old son SIX times until the kid plays dead so he stops. The kid calls 9-1-1 and to cops come just before the dad returns to finish the job. He gets 35 years. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE???????????????

modern capital punishment is not enough for rapists and muderers, i believe more primitive ways of punishment would strike fear on all potential criminals. enough to stop them from commiting any crimes as they learn what would become of them of they did. how about torture? and after torturing these low life pieces of garbage a bullet in the head would suffice. this in turn would not consume tax payers' money because it would reduce jailing costs, and torture and a single bullet are probably cheaper than modern execution methods. i also agree with reducing emphasis in the jailing of drug users, throwing them in jail is not going to help them, especially if they suffer adiciton.

Okay well i was their and that was a great concert............the problems were they ran out of beer and h20 right b4 the Deftones proformed. Everyone was so p***ed!!!!!!!It was the hottest day ever...I barley had clothes on and was having a heat stroke.I think that their is no way to prove anything.The whole crowed turned around to see, but that was after the guy hit theground.Their were lots of people their. It sold out. So whoever they want to pin this on won't be charged unless they have him on video...or he has a public deffender!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It was his time to die. and he did. sad!!!!!!!!!!

Well, it is a very good CD (I just finished listening to it) but it is exactly the same LOG. Nothing new, very technical, Vocal is much much better, but you know what, I love this cd but it sounds too...perfect. So I give it 8.5 out of 10. Lose 1 point for nothing original on it, and 0.5 for the sound...too perfect. Anybody else listened to it wet ?
