A new Into Eternity song has been posted on the Gigantour 2006 myspace page. The song, entitled "Severe Emotional Distress", comes off their new album, "The Scattering of Ashes," which comes out on October 3rd.

INTO ETERNITY comments on being part of Gigantour:
Into Eternity guitarist Tim Roth: "We are extremely blown away at the hance to tour with this great festival. When INTO ETERNITY was formed, a tour with MEGADETH was always a goal of mine. I didn't actually think nine years later we would be playing arenas with them. INTO ETERNITY would like to give extra thanks to MEGADETH drummer Shawn Drover for going to bat and putting in some good words for us. See you out there!"

Into Eternity drummer, Jim Austin, Comments on the new album on Into Eternity's official forum:

"The best way to describe it is another transition album. The self titled transistion to the second album was really good. Into Eternity as a band were really happy with our progress at the time. Same with Dead Or Dreaming to Buried In Oblivion - it was a transistion - kept the Into Eternity sound yet really progressed musically as a band.

Buried In Oblivion to The Scattering Of Ashes is another transition. Musically - this is mine and Tim's most challenging stuff yet. It definitley sounds like the next stage of Into Eternity. It's very challenging for all musicians on the album. Vocals are insane - extremely unique and the bass locks up nice with everything.

Trying to jam this set out is freakin tough man! After playing some of the songs we just kinda let out a big sigh - and kinda look at each other to ask 'did we actually just play that?' It's funny cause after jamming the The Scattering Of Ashes songs we all agreed Buried In Oblivion tunes are pretty simple

And +2 to Sneap - his touch just brings everything to life even more so!"
