Damn....I liked it.

Much better than Redneck. Blythe takes those demon-warthog vocals all over the place on this one....

If LOG was trying to calm some freyed nerves from the overly catchyness of Redneck, consider my faith restored.

I hope the rest of the record resembles this song more than Redneck. Very dark sounding, yet suprisingly melodic. pretty whoop ass!

Indeed, I finally dragged myself to listening to both songs (this and redneck) and wow did redneck suck. Ive been a LOG fan for like 4 1/2 years but wow was that bad.

Walk With Me In Hell was awesome tho.

Seriously? Any time a metal band advances in its intelligence toward the metal scene, such as diversifying their sound or improving their gam...they get berated by dumbasses. I will forever praise LOG for progressing.....that is why they will be aorund for much time to come!

lots of people have been saying the new songs resemble Pantera, which could be a good thing after all metal music could need another "pantera" type band leading the way for new metal.

Yeah, but Lamb of God could (POSSIBLY) gain that status just by staying the way they are. Im not against progress, im against bad music and redneck was bad. However WWMIH was awesome and I still love Lamb of God.

the new some walk with me in hell is awsome, but it does sound a bit different from past LOG records, guess we'll have to wait till the 22nd to see what the rest of the album sounds like a)old lamb of god. or b) going in a newer more commercial direction. my guess after hearing redneck would be B.

There's nothing wrong with Redneck. What's wrong with them having a little fun once in a while and writing a very straight forward song? The f***ing song is about how easy it is to write sh** like that, and how a lot of people just eat it up, while other people bash it because they're elitist metalhead pricks.

I like both songs. Not because one's catchy and the other is dark and brooding. Not because I'm a dumbass that follows a crowd. Just because it's Lamb of God, and they sound pretty sweet, not to mention Blythe's melodic singing is pretty damned aggressive whether he's screaming or not.

Get off your high horses.

I liked Redneck, but Walk With Me In Hell blew me the f*** away! Since I first heard Ruin Lamb of God has been my favorite band, I listened to the samples as well . . . I think either Descending or Again We Rise will be my favorite songs. :D The musical progression and skill dropped my jaw.

As for the lyrical and vocal content I am amazed, Blythe has been my favorite vocalist and lyracist since I ever read 11th hours lyrics. One thing I enjoy with the new lyrics is they are more introperspective like 11th hour was, something most people could relate too, addiction. Great job LoG keep it up and Sacrament is only going to make this band 30 times bigger than they already are.\m/

I didn't say that I hated Redneck, just that I was concerned that I might be getting an albums worth of it...

Obviously that is not the case.

LOG have rarely let me down (the vocals on "Palaces" could have been more varied...That is my only gripe with the bands whole career)....Redneck was a bit too catchy and borrowed a significant amount from Pantera...
If I want that kind of song I play something off "Vulgar" or "Far Beyond Driven"....

LOG are similar beast but not the same, I like their persona and I'm hoping (pretty certain) it remains intact.

Redneck was something different for me, it was catchy and simple and sometimes I don't need the technicalities, sometimes I just want to sit down and mouth the words to something simple.

Oh and cfhdimebag if you're saying the different sounding "commecial" lamb of god is bad then why listen to music if you want to hear the same thing over and over?

I forone hope it sounds nothing like old LoG but still remains LoG, I don't want to listen to the same music over and over.

Korndog is saying that because Korn completely lost their identity on this last record....

Not that they've ever been great but once upon a time they had a self titled record that f***ed my world up....It really is a shame that 1994 Korn is such a differnt beast from 2005 Korn.

I think LOG have the right idea evolution/growth/sellingout/whatever should be gradual and multifaceted so that every album all fans have a song or 5 to love and 5 more or so to try and grasp/get used to.

Mellowing out and growing up don't HAVE to be the same thing....Old bands just -do- that.

They lose their fire cus their wallet is fatter they have a wife, a kid maybe a dog or cat....You just don't "fly off the handle" as easy when your 39 rather than 17...You've learned some things, you've adjusted to unchangable realities and you vent less as a result.

Metal is all about "flying off the handle" though....Or at least in large part.

If a metal band stops being metal, it best be for the better of thier sound because metal is a release for me...Only a few bands have mellowed for the better and Korn ain't one of em ...neither is Metallica or Cold or Staind for that matter.

Colds last record was the absolute worst thing ever and I liked 13 ways and YOTS.

Staind were losing it on 13 shades of grey but they totally blew their load on that new one....Its an instrutional album on how not to end up like Aaron Lewis....It sucks. He "teaches" you on the whole thing...
Read the lyrics...They've lost all impact and emotion, he just goes through the motions...Sort of like me when I'm at work.

I'm not downing Korn to attack you Korndogg, but they are a good example of selling out or evolving for the worst...Just less emotion in the lyrics and music to me.

I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE SAYING, BUT I DONT MIND SOFTER MUSIC!
PERSONALLY, STAIND AND COLDS NEW ALBUMS TO ME WERE 1 OF THEIR BEST CDS YET!
DONT GET ME WRONG, I STILL LOVE COLDS "SELF TITLED" ALBUM, AND STAINDS "TORMENTED" ALONG WITH THE REST OF THEIR WORK!
IM JUST NOT ONE TO BECOME A FAN OF A BAND AND THEN JUST SAY THEY SUCK WITHOUT GIVING THEIR NEW MATERIAL A CHANCE, OR SAYING THEY SOLD-OUT.
WHEN IM A FAN OF A BAND, I GIVE ALL OF THEIR sh** A CHANCE,SOME BETTER THAN OTHERS BUT ITS STILL THE SAME BAND THAT I GREW UP LISTENING TO!
NEVER WILL I TURN MY BACK ON KORN,STAIND,COLD,METALLICA OR ANY OTHER BAND FOR THAT MATTER!
I KNOW SOME OF YOU HATE KORN, BUT YOU REALLY GOT TO GET USED TO THEM BEING AROUND CUZ THEY ARE GOING NO WHERE ANY TIME SOON!

"FAMILY VALUES 06" WILL BE THE TOUR OF THE YEAR!
