Twelve Arrested At Wisconsin Ozzfest
There are reports that authorities have arrested 12 people on state charges at Saturday's (July 22) Ozzfest, an all-day heavy-metal music festival at Alpine Valley Music Theater in East Troy, Wisconsin.
Five people were charged with disorderly conduct, two with battery and two for trespassing. Individuals were also charged with possession of cocaine, bail jumping and having an outstanding warrant.
Patrol deputies issued 59 tickets, 19 for possession of marijuana and 13 for underage possession of alcohol. Fifteen speeding tickets were also handed out. Various other tickets were for disorderly conduct, trespassing, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, operating after revocation and other traffic offenses.
The Walworth County Drug Unit seized 193 grams of marijuana and about two grams of cocaine. Drug Unit officers cited 66 for possession of marijuana, 13 for possession of drug paraphernalia and three for disorderly conduct.

well the cops and who ever else did a great job. So many ppl out there who dont give a sh** about any one else but them selfs. Like drinking and driving. Hello u r NOT invisable, and u wont be feeling to invisable once u get in a wreck and kill some one. The same with those ppl usein coke and driving . Stupid ppl these days. They could at LEAST stay home and do that sh** so they dont hurt any one but THEM.

I want to know exactly what constitutes "disorderly conduct" at an event like Ozzfest. Because apparently "disorderly conduct" does not include pelting Bruce d***inson with eggs, does it $haron?

Possession of marijuana - really? What do you get out of bringing it into a crowded public setting which you know is monitored? Don't be a f***ing retard, do that behind closed doors and pulled shades.
Figure this: 193g of marijuana were seized, that's a bit over 55 1/8th's (@ 3.5g) on 66 people (Try the math: 3.5g x 8 (1/8th's) = 1oz. or 28g) - No I don't smoke but I did long enough to learn much about it and the S/N is just as old (so I'll change it up a bit, drop a part to reign in the new era). Now who was carrying the semi-descrite bowl-pack and who was bringing their quarter? Were vehicles searched after finding it on the person? f***, if push comes to shove pop off a couple of hits in your car before getting in line. Dumbasses, all of them.

I agree killingtime. This is so stupid and I would rather not know what is happening at these concerts with the arrests and tickets. I'm sure there was a lot more weed in that crowd and every crowd than what they found. When I was at SOTU these two kids just pulled out a bowl and smoked like right there in the middle of everybody. But no one that works that ever caught them. I did see a bunch of people get pulled out but I don't know what for.

i was at that ozzfest at alpine valley and i did see and hear about people getting arrested but me and the people i went with had like 2 quarters rolled in joints and blunts and we smoke on the way to the concert, at the concert, in the parking lot, and on the way home...f*** THE COPS!!!! and to all u p***y mother f***in stoner hating fa**ots us stoners smoke doesnt f*** hurt you so eat sh** and die p***ies!!!!!Ozzfest f***ing kicked a$$ it always has and always will so f*** all you ozzfest/sharon haters if you dont like it DONT f***ING GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fa**ots....

My bf and I saw the Unholy Alliance Tour at the Rave in Milwaukee, and they had plenty of security guards, and as well as a few cops keeping everyone away from these 4 chrisitan jesus freaks with picket signs and a megaphone and everything. So anyways-at the show, there were of course people smoking the pot and security guards didn't even care and they knew, they were right behind them, they didnt even stop the moshing or bodysurfing, which they usually do... so anyways ozzfest is a lost cause.

Taking any kind of drugs during or before a concert is a horrable idea .... you need to have a clear mind when you're jumping around in the pit ot you're liable to get hurt.

I quit going to Ozzfest years ago after they started letting pigs into the show, and flooding the town with temp-cops. That doesn't promote a fun peaceful atmosphere. It promotes confrontation, and very similar to a police state.
I know many who have taken lsd, smoked bud, drank themselves to pukedness at Ozzfest... and they're all just fine, trying to have a good time. Drunks don't react too well to cops. But really... most of the people who get f***ed with are just plain dumb, anyway.

Well maybe here are some things that could help. #1. Don't SELL alcohol at these events if you dont want a bunch of drunk, rowdy people in your face. #2. Um, maybe if you didn't sell beer for friggin $6 then people would not sneak drugs in. haha. #3. Maybe if WATER wasn't also $5 then more people would be drinking more water to counteract all that beer. Oh wait, they used all their money on the beer anyways. And I dont know about other places, but here they also sell hard alcohol at these shows.
