According to SF.Curbed.com, METALLICA guitarist Kirk Hammett is selling his Pacific Heights, California house for $12.5 million. The Georgian Mansion with 9,519 square feet, nine bedrooms, seven full baths, three half baths, a library, and a "billiard/family room" includes "a deep grassy garden and detached 2-car side-by-side garage," according to a posting on Hammett's realtors' web site. "The gated motor court affords ample off-street parking. Faithfully maintained and upgraded for more than a century, this property is among a select handful of timeless classics...at one of the City's very best locations."

Pip pip. I happen to be the very fellow to purchase that house of his! It's very nice! I plan on gluing those half baths back together and then I shall have yet another full bath! Hoho! Also, that Kirt Hamming fellow was a most unruly chap. I had heard they were quite the "sell ins" as some of you put it, instead he insisted on playing an extremely loud guitar solo in my ear! Anyway, I must be off now. I have more rock star homes to purchase. I wonder if that delightfull Kerry King would be willing to sell me his hoooome. Or perhaps I can aquire a trailer from a member of Sepultura. Tally ho!

It's a nice house, I drive by it regularly (I live in SF). Kirk made his money, he did the work, he paid for the product and made a profit on the return of his efforts. More power to him. He's actually, of all of them, supposed to be the nicest.

I have actually been to that house when my brother worked for Kirk. A couple of the bathrooms have 2 shower faucets in the same tub. That is worth the 12.5 mill right there!
