Slayer Alternate Less Offensive Album Art Revealed

BLABBERMOUTH.NET can reveal the alternate non-graphic SLAYER "Christ Illusion" album cover that is being offered to retailers who will not carry the regular version because it is "too offensive." Check it out at this location.
The "regular" cover artwork for SLAYER's new album, "Christ Illusion" can be viewed at this location. Larry Carroll, who did the cover artwork for SLAYER's "Reign in Blood", "South of Heaven", and "Seasons In the Abyss" album, painted this original piece for the "Christ Illusion" cover. Working only from the song titles and early lyrics, Carroll has produced a classic SLAYER masterpiece — a portrait of the Christ whose forearms have been chopped off, standing in an ocean of blood surrounded by floating, decapitated heads. Carroll created the painting on a 4-by-4-foot slab of wood using a combination of mediums. SLAYER guitarist Kerry King already has placed dibs on ownership of the original wooden canvas.

Slayer what are you doing. The original artworrk is sh** but now this censored version..........I would have censored the original because it's garbage and looks awful it was hardly offensive. If it isn't to late why not ask H.R Giger if you can use any of these at:- http://www.therionweb.de/giger/giger.htm.Maybe then we might have something that looks professional is suitably demonic. The album better kick ass.A slightly worried Slayer fan.

ok, if anybody remembers what Tom was saying about words just being words, then I don't see why they don't say the same thing here, it's just art, if people are gonna get p***ed about the way someone portrays christ, whether they feel that way or not, they should go f*** themselves,

original is better, to tell you the truth i dont know why they censord it, every day countries like britain america rome etc, censor versions of christ. so why should they treat slayer different bet you if the ART was in a gallery it wouldn't be soo bad but because its slayer its oooh so bad that really p****s me off some what severe. i actually appreciate the art, thats my opinion though you either love it or hate it, so its really just like every other piece of art. regardless as to how christ is shown.

What is offensive anyway?? To some ... 'god' is offensive, and to others, he is there very own personal BUTT MONKEY!!! .... human rights has never been as low as it is in this-day-in-age, where a simple 'cd-cover' gets censored, yet all those XXX porno mags still get to keep there's, just with a black plastic bag covering. SO WHY DO CENSORS around the world, FEEL THE NEED, to screw over the metal world with there inane dribble about what 'IS' and 'ISNT' offensive. Just cover the album art with a black 'rip-off' plastic bag so the REST OF US CUSTOMERS (which i thought was ALWAYS RIGHT) can live happily with the 'orignal designs' of a VERY TALENTED ARTIST.
SLAYER RULES ALL THRASH METAL WANNABE'S!!!!!!
