Sevendust To Begin Work on New Record, Post New MP3 Online

During their Rockline Radio appearance Monday night, Sevendust announced they will begin work on the follow-up to last year's 'Next' on July 5th. The band recently parted ways with Winedark Records and will begin shopping for a new label shortly. The second single from 'Next' entitled "Pieces" was released earlier this week and can be streamed on their MySpace page.

Another label already. Anyone know why?
Hopefully they continue with some heavier stuff.

They left TVT due to complications with promotion and disgust with some of their management, particularly JJ French.

With Winedark I think it may be more of the same. Their last album "Next", debuted at about the same place on Billboard with similar figures from "Home" 1999 to "Seasons" 2003....but their figures fell sharply due to poor promtion....

I'm sortof guessing because from I can tell they did the same thing they do every 2 years as far as touring goes....I think they were on fewer festivals last year as well.

Yeah we need some heavier sh** from them. But more importantly they do need to find a label that believes in them. That's actually gonna do everything they can to support the band as opposed to just distribution.Let's face it the word of mouth approch does not work in the land of corporate radio.Atleast not very well any way.
