MTV.com reports that Megadeth have signed to Roadrunner Records for the release of their follow-up to 2004's "The System Has Failed," according to a source close to the deal. The studio sessions — held at Sarm Studios, outside of London — were filmed by director Michael Sarna (Anthrax, Obituary) and are available at Megadeth.com to fan-club members.

To be honest, I can't stand Megadeth's lyrics, generally speaking. They tend to annoy me so much as to make the music not worthwhile listening to. Put someone else on vocalist, or get someone to write lyrics for them and they'd be one of my favourite bands (amongst the hundreds of other favourites I have). As for RR, bands really need to stop signing to them, there's better labels out there, guys.

well.... What the hell can I say. I'm not a great fan of megadeth but to be quite honest I think singing to rr is a good thing. Maybe now they will be able to create some good music. But hey I could be wrong they could suck for the rest of my life time like metallica HAHAHA! But really good luck to megadeth with that.

For one thing The System Has Failed DID NOT SUCK! It was just a big step away from anything they'd done before.. a world better than Risk.. that sucked.. but TSHF was great.. Anyway can't wait for the new Megadeth Album.. and Metallica does not suck!! Metallica rules.. but so does Megadeth!!! Long live Mustaine.. he is the GOD in my mind :D.. Anyway I'm glad they've signed to Roadrunner.. I hope it brings back they're heavy thrash roots... ALL HAIL THE DETH

To whoever said Mustaine sucks,, you clearly havent a clue about good metal.. Mustaine and Megadeth probably influenced whatever the hell you listen to so dont go sayin he sucks just because he got booted from Metallica, because you think because you've heard Enter Sandman your being somehow loyal to Tallica.. MUSTAINE RULES HES ABSOLUTELY LEGENDARY

Mustaine is a bad muthaf***a! He has been layin down some of the fiercest riffs for over 2 decades. To me Mustaine, Chuck Schuldiner, Jeff Henneman and Dime Bag are responsiblee for the best riffs in recent history and I can only hope for more from Megadeth. Those who say Mustaine sucks are c***SUCKERS. DIE YOU f***IN' fa**otS.

WELL DEATHMETALRULES420, WHY WOULD MEGADEATH SIGN TO THE SAME LABEL AS NICKLEBACK?
LETS SEE, PROLLY CAUSE NICKLEBACK SOLD MILLIONS OF RECORDS AND MILLIONS TO COME!
BACK IN THE DAY MEGADEATH DID TOO,BUT THAT WAS MANY MOONS AGO!
SO YOU SIGN TO A WINNING LABEL TO SELL WHEN U HAVE NO OPTIONS LEFT BUT TO RETIRE.
