Queensryche Announce Australian Tour Dates
QUEENSRŸCHE have announced a three-date Australian tour in July. The details are as follows:
Jul. 14 - Melbourne, AUS @ The Palace
Jul. 15 - Sydney, AUS @ Luna Park
Jul. 16 - Brisbane, AUS @ The Arena
QUEENSRŸCHE's current record label, Rhino Records, has purchased the rights to the group's 1999 effort, "Q2K", from Atlantic and plans on re-releasing it soon. Limited-edition signed copies and a free "Q2K" cap will be included in the new package. More information will be made available soon.
QUEENSRŸCHE's latest CD, "Operation: Mindcrime II", has sold 73,000 copies in the United States since its April 4 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
QUEENSRŸCHE's top-selling album by far is 1990's "Empire", which was certified triple-platinum in October 1994 for sales in excess of three million copies in the United States. The original "Operation: Mindcrime" release (1988) attained platinum status in August 1991, while 1994's "Promised Land" reached the same plateau in December 1994.
