Evanescence Complete New Album, Set Release Date
Billboard.com reports: Evanescence will release it second Wind-Up album, "The Open Door," on Oct. 3. The set was recorded in Los Angeles earlier this year and produced by Dave Fortman, who was behind the boards for Evanescence's 2003 breakthrough, "Fallen."
That set has sold more than 6.5 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan, and spawned two top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, "My Immortal" and "Bring Me To Life."
"The making of this record has been really intense, but I've come out feeling purified," frontwoman Amy Lee says in a statement. "I've grown so much since 'Fallen,' and [guitarist] Terry [Balsamo] is the perfect writing partner -- I feel like I've been lifted up to a whole new level of inspiration and possibilities.

i dont know about calling them metal, but definately alternative. and they are nothing like ashlee simpson dumbass. i really liked fallen, but their older sh** is better. this new stuff is suppose to be kinda spooky and sexy. plus the hard parts will be harder and the soft will be softer. lots of strings and choral bits too. just what i heard. im a little nervouse to hear what it sounds like but egar.

evanescence is a band, not a solo musician - i mean sure, amy lee is the vocalist, and she's obviously a female, but evanescence itself is a group of artists, not just one with a backing band (although i'll admit it does sound that way sometimes). by the way, what's with you, you'r here threatening people who don't like evanescence, and you'r on the slayer threads threatening those that do like slayer - i mean, are you even into metal at all or what??

You know, after reading this thread I've come to the conclusion that 70% of the 'metalhead' population are idiots? Why? Because music composition doesn't enter their mind when thinking of certain bands. First of all; If you've ever listened to the complexity of the composition of evanescence's music, I honestly don't think you'd say they suck. Second; I'd really enjoy hearing whoever said amy's vocals suck singing the C scale or the like. I doubt you could; some people need real music, whether it's metal or not. All their songs, especially the good ones aren't played on pop radio. You all should really learn about hypocrisy, and discontinue your use of stereotyping people[or bands] when you know you hate labels.
[/end rant]

red devil and coco must burn in hell. Although i hate ghetto poeple more. you know? those that listen to rap and dress like "Wanksta". Men, i truly hate them more than the a$$holes that consider themselves ravers. Hey at least they punk/goth/emo/bad a$$ wanna be's has got better taste in music. Oh and from now on i'm calling coco by his true name "Lloyd". Because coco's the crappiest name ever.

this goes to all the d***flops who said that Evanescence suck: I think the lead singer has one of the best voices out there. so look who's talking? as if you f*** heads can sing too, i'd really like to see that. oh and heres to living_dead_girl, you can't even spell "simpson". BIACHHH! So, to everyone who hates Evanescence: (i hate to say this but..) go and get f***ed!, all of you, and ya'll can kiss my friends stinky ass! MOTHER f***ERSSSSSSSS! DIEEEEEEEE! and go to hell!

HAHAHA, this thread turned into pure entertainment!!! and that's saying so much more than the sh** music this f***ing band puts out.
Comments like "I think the lead singer has one of the best voices out there. so look who's talking? as if you f*** heads can sing too, i'd really like to see that"
and sh** like "i will always be grateful to evanescene..............
EVANESCENE, LACUNA COIL, NIGHTWISH 4 EVER"
and lets not leave out "You all should really learn about hypocrisy, and discontinue your use of stereotyping people[or bands] when you know you hate labels."
HAHAHA, this is great stuff! GREAT!!
So I guess I'll go listen to the overwhelmingly elaborate compositional achievments of Evanescence, while jacking off to pictures of Amy Lee, and then put a bullet in my head because I'm such a p***y a$$ b****.
f*** this band.
