EVANESCENCE frontwoman Amy Lee has posted the following message on the EVANESCENCE message board EVBoard.com:

"Terry [Balsamo, EVANESCENCE/ex-COLD guitarist] and I are sitting here in the control room at the studio — we'll be done mixing [the new album] next week! I can hardly believe it, we've been working on this album for so long. The stuff sounds so good... Wow, what a trip this has been.

"I just wanted to say hi, check in with you and let you know that Terry is doing really well [after suffering a stroke in November] (he is downloading PANTERA ringtones right now and trying to get one of us to call him), [producer Dave] Fortman is ruling it (in deep thought at the mixing board) and I am trying to figure out the order of the songs for the album. It's going to be hard to hold this music in all summer. Haha!

"Terry just said to thanks for all you guys' support, and all the kind words. I really want to thank you guys again for being so patient — I know it's gonna be worth it. Hang in there! Ill keep you guys posted."

Lee sued her former manager, Dennis Rider of Rider Management, in early December for breach of fiduciary duty, professional negligence, conversion, sexual assault and battery, and other claims. Rider had previously filed a lawsuit against Lee over alleged unpaid commissions. Under the agreement, Rider Management was entitled to 20 percent of gross earnings. He is asking for a minimum of $10 million.

Nu-metal is all about the down-tuned guitar and bass combo and with altered fuzz bass distortion. That didn't come along until this new album. Karmacode is the first blatantly nu-metal Lacuna album....And it suffferes for it. Their previous works were much less American sounding in all respects.
There was not so much as a peep of nu-metal rhythm guitar dynamics or having the dt bass so high in the mix until this album. Lots of Disturbed, Godsmack and Korn nuances on this album...You won't find anything like that on Comalies, In a Reverie or Unleashed Memories.

I'm not saying they had something infinitely complex or unheard of before now, it just wasn't nu-sounding.

i cant think of bigger waste of time then purchasing or downloading an evanessence album
and then going and listening to it.
I could stick a nail through my hand, and still have more fun doing that than i would if I had listened to this insult to music. Honestly what is good about this band?
-they have a marketed image thats been done to death
-a very annoying male singer that has no talent
-nothing original in the way it sounds
- someone had said in a previous post that there lyrics are meaningful, so i went to a lyrics website but the lyrics were terrible
-the female singer has a good voice but really ive heard that sound about 1000 times on the radio

please tell me what makes this band good other than that you think they roooooooooock or you think im an idiot, but i took the time to prove once again to myself that this band is overrated and they suck
