cute singer does not a metal band make....

However, for what they are they at least bring some interesting nuances to a played and cliche sound....I hope the rest of the album doesn't sound so much like American post nu-metal as "Our Truth" does.

The last 3 Lacuna Coil albums were distinctly Euro sounding...some classical guitar licks and tastefully implemented keyboards and synths even added a mildly industrial undertone.

I'll never call Lacuna Coil metal, but if you're in the mood for left of the center melancholy goth(ish) rock look no farther than across the pond....Lacuna Coil -should- eclipse Evanescence.

Which bring's me to my point. Not to take away from your statement in any way. They are by no stretch of the imagination FULL ON METAL so to speak(atleast not in my opinion). However I honestly think the only thing keeping them from eclipsing EVANESCENCE is a better producer.I only have one disc but a friend of mine is a huge fan so I hear alot of them when I hang with her.The sound is similar but I think they are the better band. The only thing that actually seperates them is the production value.Unless I happen to own the record with the worst producer to ever work on a LACUNA COIL album. That's the only advantage that EVANESCENCE actually has over them.Atleast as far as I can tell.

The press release makes no sense

The album is called 'Karmacode', not 'Our Truth' - right?
