New Candlemass Album In The Works

Candlemass have recorded 4 new songs with producer Andy Sneap. The recording took place in the new Polar studios last weekend and the band say that they are very happy with the result.

“The songs are pretty much in the same vein as the stuff on the reunion album, maybe a bit darker” says bassist/songwriter Leif Edling. Next session will be in May. The new Candlemass album is scheduled for a release in october 2006 on Nuclear Blast Records.

On feb 7 Candlemass received a Swedish Grammy award for best hardrock/metal. The band is very proud, and it means that Candlemass finally have got the recognition they deserve in their homecountry of Sweden. It only took 20 years...
