70000 Tons of Metal - The World's Biggest Heavy Metal Cruise

"some music was meant to stay underground..."

Darkane, Nuclear Blast, Nuclear blast Records, Swedish metal, gothenburg sound

Swedish thrashers Darkane have completed work on their third, as-yet-untitled album for Nuclear Blast Records.

The album's drum and vocal tracks will once again be produced by Daniel Bergstrand at Dug-Out Studios in Uppsala, Sweden while the rest of the band records the guitars and bass at Darkane's own studio in Helsingborg. Helping Bergstrand out is ex-Misery Loves Company programmer Örjan Örnklo, who is officially named co-producer. It looks like the album is slated for mixing sometime in April at Dug-Out.

A total of seven songs were completed a few months back, but according to Christofer Malmstrom there's a lot more ideas coming into the Darkane camp. Here's what the six-stringer had to say regarding the new material: "The songs are a little more varied this time compared to Insanity. On the next album you will find everything from songs heavy as hell to songs fast as f**k!"

Darkane's third album is expected to land sometime in late summer 2002 on Nuclear Blast
