The Haunted

Sweden's The Haunted have completed seven new songs for their upcoming, as-yet-untitled full-length.

The Haunted are aiming for 12 songs total for the follow-up to 2000's excellent The Haunted Made Me Do It effort and hope to enter the studio to record the album sometime in late spring.

"Judging by the sound of the new material, you can all expect a mixture between the first and the second CD," said bassist and songwriter Jonas Björler.

In related news, The Haunted are still searching for a suitable axeman to fill guitarist Anders Björler's shoes. The guitarist left The Haunted last September to pursue school and not live the touring life. The band will also head down to Mexico for two dates in Mexico City (February 23) and Guadalajara (February 24). It's unclear at this point if touring guitarist Marcus Sunesson (The Crown) will perform with The Haunted on these dates.
