They lost the electronics and brought back the agressive melodic death riffs, im not too keen on the clean vocals though, I think Ferret music wants a Swedish Killswitch Ingage, but they aint really that bad, I think the music is a big improvement, but Anders is the letdown so far.

Whoricles is my favourite In Flames, and probably always will be. Soundtrack To Your Escape was, for me, disappointing at first, but it grew on me. As for the others, Trigger from Reroute To Remain is definitely my favourite song, but i only have a few songs of their other albums.

Buy their early albums with stanne on vocals, In my opinion In Flames helped create the genre that bands like Trivium, Killswitch engage etc stole, so what they did with the new album (that i have heard in its entirely) was sometimes sound like the kings of melodic death, but then they sound like a cover band of their own music style, The album is their best since colony in my opinion, but I would rather be listening to the new Dark Tranquillity album, as they have proved with not one weak release that they are the kings of (Swedish) melodic death metal.

The entire album has already leaked....all I can say is, its better than STYE.

Still have to deal with Friden's whiny vocals. I can't believe this is the same guy that did vocals on The Jester Race.

Im pretty sure Friden could pull of the vocal style he used on 'The Jester Race', but I think hes eithear really bored of doing that or just wants money and airplay from Kerrang all day and emo fans wearing their merchandise, sadly I think the second reason is whats going on with In Flames these days, the title track of the new album is excellent though and 80 percent of the music is top notch, I just dont no what to make of it yet, Anders is the only thing I can complain about.

so it less nu-metallish huh? I might have to check it out but nothing compares to crushing
sounds of Clayman and their other earlier material.

hey, on a different level, i was walking through the mall the other day and saw some hussy in a parkway drive t-shirt - i almost whacked a ho to the floor it p***ed me off so much - seriously, ug boots, hot pants, and a fvcking parkway drive t-shirt. i had to rush to the lavitory to stop from being violently ill all over her face.

anyway, back to in flames; the new vocal styles haven't got squat on old in flames. i'm almost disappointed in them (almost).
