Stream Magnetar's New "Gates of the North" EP
UK blackened heavy metal band, Magnetar (featuring N. Wallwork ex-Winterfylleth) has released a new EP, entitled "Gates Of The North" today. The album can be streamed in full on bandcamp and below.
The EP features 3 brand new tracks:
1. Gates Of The North
2. Unbound (Merciless cover)
3. Kingdoms Of Chaos (Bonus Track)
The new EP finds the band treading a path further into classic metal and blackened savagery. With lead track, “Gates Of The North” showcasing a howling blast of blackened heavy metal & NWOBHM melody. Leading a vision for what will come next from the band.
The second track on the release is a cover version of Merciless' classic "Unbound". While the third, bonus track, “Kingdoms Of Chaos” is a song recorded a few years before the band's debut album, "There Will Be No Peace In My Valley". Those pre-album recording sessions produced a track that never really fit on the record at the time - being more melodic along the lines of Dissection - that has now found a home on this release.
