Amon Amarth‘s new single “Eight Legs Of Thunder” has thundered onto the scene. As is the case with much of the Swedish melodic death metal band’s material, the track draws inspiration from Norse mythology, specifically Sleipnir, the eight-legged steed of the Norse god Odin.
The track appears on the band’s forthcoming album “The Allfather Awakens“, which Metal Blade Records will release on October 02nd.
Director Dariusz Szermanowicz (Behemoth, Kreator) was once again enlisted by the band for the accompanying clip, and had the following to say about it:
“With ‘Eight Legs Of Thunder‘, together with the band, we wanted to break the traditional metal music video mold once again. We fused the raw, dusty vibe of a modern western with the epic, dark mythology of Oden’s eight-legged steed. It’s a high-octane, cinematic ride packed with cowboy tension, raw action, and a touch of dark humor. We didn’t just want to make a music video—we wanted to deliver a visual knockout.”
