Ice Nine Kills Bring MAPHRA Onstage For Live Debut Of “Twisting The Knife”

Ice Nine Kills brought rising artist MAPHRA onstage this past week for the live debut of their “Scream 7” track “Twisting The Knife.” The performance took place during the band’s May 7th set at this year’s “Welcome To Rockville” festival in Daytona Beach, Florida.

MAPHRA—who has recently gained traction online through viral metalcore covers and charting releases—handled the vocal parts originally performed by “Scream 7” actress Mckenna Grace on the studio version of the song. The appearance is also said to have marked MAPHRA’s live performance debut.

The gold-certified horror-themed metalcore outfit also premiered their recent “Grave Diggler” single “Hell Or High Slaughter” during the set. That track was released under an alter ego concept, with the band portraying a fictional 1980s glam metal group supposedly made up of their fathers. The song was tied to the recent horror/thriller film “Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come.”
