The Baying of the Hounds?
When?
Bleak ?
THE MOOR?
Blackwater Park?

When is my first Opeth song ever. The Baying of the Hounds just owns me, Bleak is awesome, The Moor IMO is Opeth at their peak, and Blackwater Park is one of the heaviest Opeth tunes.

f***, I TOTALLY missed out on this one.

I would swap out "When" for "Godheads Lament" from Still Life in a heartbeat. "In My time of Need" as fantastic as it is, should be traded for "Isolation Years".

Otherwise it's the ideal set. f***ing perfect as it is, I just happen to like have a soft spot for those songs. "Bleak" and "Deliverance" are two of my favorite songs....not just from Opeth but in general.

Post 1 can flail in his own feces and listen to Limpbizkit.

More often than not I would come to the defense of a band I like, but since Opeth are so f***ing perfect It would be as pointless as defending the law of garvity from a nay-sayer. Why waste the time or effort?

"Ghost of Perdition" is the best song out there to fully encapsulate the bands sound in one song. It was hard getting past that song on the new album to hear the rest of the cd....Fantastic opener.

I saw them two sundays ago in LA. I must say that the setlist got me by surprise with some of the songs they played and it was freaking awesome. The one song i always wanted to hear live was Bleak and they f***ing played it! Baying of the Hounds is a fantastic opener to the evening and of course the Moor and Demon of the Fall are just plain amazing live. Great setlist and i coudnt ask for anything more!

Opeth could play any 9 songs from their catalogue and it would rule. I've seen them twice so far. Very different set each time, and both times they were great.
