Rotten Sound Premiere New Single "Idealist" From Upcoming New EP "Mass Extinction"

Rotten Sound have unleashed their latest track, “Idealist,” serving as the newest single from the Finnish grindcore veterans’ upcoming EP, Mass Extinction. The eight-track release is closely connected to their 2023 full-length Apocalypse, having been born from the same recording sessions. The full EP is scheduled to arrive December 12th via Season of Mist.
Frontman Keijo Niinimaa offered insight into the new song, stating:
“‘Idealist‘ is a cynical D-beat anthem about our fight for a better future. I do believe that better times are ahead, but it feels impossible to find a new level in humanity. The transition seems to take forever. That frustration led me to write the lyrics to this song. Mika‘s riffs and Sami‘s grooves open the circle into a mosh pit.”
