Project 86 DVD Documentary Details Revealed

A new feature length DVD documentary was released last week by Taylor Gahm Digital Films in association with Tooth and Nail recording artist Project 86 about the making of their 5th studio album with legendary producer GGGarth Richardson (Rage Against The Machine, Chevelle).

After 14 national tours, four full-length albums, and over 260,000 records sold Project 86 releases their documenatary debut. This DVD was Taylor Gahm's first feature documenatry as well.

Taylor Gahm is an independent music video director and photographer based in Houston, TX. Mr. Gahm hit the music scene hard last year with an EPK for Houston band The Finalist- an independent band who signed with Warner Brothers/Maverick Records within six months of the EPK’s completion. The EPK initially caught the attention of industry mogul Fred Croshal (Alanis Morissette, Jason Mraz) who intern used the EPK in his successful effort to shop and eventually sign the band to Warner Bros./Maverick Records.

Mr. Gahm has also directed chart topping music videos for recording artists Monday Morning and Zona 7 whose videos have reached #1 and #2 on the TVUlive and Eclace video charts respectively. Taylor Gahm has also recieved two Aegis Award’s for his ‘Hope has Come’ short film and MXTV documentary episode on the Robbie Seay Band.

“This documentary really took me outside of my box.” says Gahm. "Working on long format was much more intense and time consuming than short form music videos. This documentary really tested my creative stamina as I produced, shot, directed, and edited the digital film myself. I turned down a handful of highly profitable projects while working on this, but in the end it was worth it because I feel that the final product really adds depth to my body of work."

Project 86 hired Mr. Gahm in May of this year. Mr. Gahm was able to complete this project in less than three months; in time for Project 86's new album release date, which is set for later this month.

The documentary features over 60 minutes of behind the scenes footage of Project 86 working on their 5th album titled, "...And The Rest Will Follow" with over a 100 photos of the band, and special features including The Spy Hunter music video. Copies of the DVD can be purchased on the Project 86 band website at www.project86.com.

"Whether you are a Project 86 fan or not, there is something in here for everybody.” states Gahm. “I wanted this to be a documentary with an engaging story- not just another band DVD, and as more and more positive reviews emerge from the press and fans of the band continue to swarm my website, it appears that the documentary is a success."
