Meh.
I thought this band had a little promise once upon a time....Not potential for greatness, but the potential to release at least one solid album....aka something "decent"...
They come remotely close if you cherry pick the 2 to 4 good songs on each album but the lyrics are always going to be sub-par, the riffery depressingly simplistic and the song structures are the work of pre-schoolers.
Kittie = flash in the pan could have beens.

Yeah, I've heard all 3 Kittie albums in their entirety, and they are improving at a glacier-like rate. Ultimately though, the only half-decent thing about them is Morgan's clean vocals. When they try heavy, it's forced, unconvincing and they don't have the instrumental ability to do the metal genre justice.

I still think Morgan could one day add up to something as she can play guitar and has the clean and growl vocals, but the riffs just suck even after the 6-7 years they've existed.
The lyrics improve but still feel very immature.
If she were backed by a real band of highly talented musicians like say Lacuna Coils singer, then Kittie might be something to take note of. Unfortunately, Kittie will likely always sound like a punk-tinged-melodic-nu-death-semi-metal band.

Actually that is part of LC's problem too. Cristina Scabbia is a phenomenal singer and Marco Coti Zelati is a decent songwriter, but their guitarists are kind of worthless. It's a shame. But your point is taken about Kittie.

Just wondering how someone can switch from band to band..taking credit for others hard work? Just curious...if ya find out let me know..i think I can do that. I know a few people that are doing just that, and it makes me wanna puke. All of you need to remember that just because you were in a "known" band for 5 minutes...that don't make you cool.
