Black Label Society Announce Hurricane Benefit Show

Artemis recording artist Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society will be performing a benefit show on October 11th at the recently opened City Hall venue in Nashville, TN. All profits will be donated to the American Red Cross to benefit the victims of the Hurricane Katrina disaster. Alternative rock station WBUZ/Nashville will be a partner in the event and will be offering tickets on-air. Tickets are currently on sale at all Ticketmaster locations and online at ticketmaster.com.

Wylde offered: “The bottom line is this…we have a lot of Black Label brothers and sisters in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. We know we have to do the right thing to help out the thousands of volunteers, National Guard, Armed Forces and the local police. It’s the least we can do to help out. When family is down, you pick them up. Now it’s time to kick some ass. God bless, beyond forever, stay strong.”

Ticketmaster will also host a Zakk Wylde online auction to benefit Hurricane Katrina victims. Items being auctioned include 20 tickets to the show, VIP seating, signed copies of Black Label Society’s Artemis debut “Mafia,” autographed t-shirts, a chance to meet Zakk Wylde and the band, plus much more. The grand prize from the online auction will be a Zakk Wylde Custom Les Paul Bullseye guitar. The online auction will be live on 9/21 at ticketmaster.com.

In addition, Zakk will host an on-site silent auction at City Hall in Nashville including autographed band memorabilia and a Zakk Wylde Custom Les Paul Camo guitar. Guitar gear will be available from various Zakk Wylde endorsed companies such as Marshall Amplification, Dunlop Pedals, and GHS Strings.

The premiere motorcycle company, 357 Customs, (www.357customs.com) has recently collaborated with Zakk Wylde on limited edition motorcycles that are inspired by his series of signature guitars. Autographed miniature 1/18 scale die cast replicas of these signature motorcycles will be available for auction. The full sized motorcycles will be on hand at the Nashville show.

Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society will also be on tour throughout the fall. The Mafia Tour dates are the first headlining performances since their completely sold out spring 2005 tour and fourth consecutive main stage Ozzfest appearance this summer.
