Soulfly exit studio to tour with Static-X
Soulfly has put on hold the recording of their third album to co-headline a tour with Static-X beginning January 31 in San Francisco. The three-week tour stretches across the country in 15 dates, ending February 24 in Washington, D.C.
New Soulfly songs such as "Downstroy," "Seek and Strike," "Last of the Mohicans" and "Soulfly III" are expected to be played on the tour, which marks the return of the band's original drummer, Ray Mayorga, who was replaced by Joe Nunez for Primitive.
Soulfly's as-yet-untitled third album is expected to be released this spring. Static-X, meanwhile, are touring behind their second album, last year's Machine. Soil, on the heels of their latest LP, Scars, will serve as openers.
