you know what i think. i think that soad rocks, and slipknot, and mudvayne. and i think that people should keep thier mouths closed about them being overrated. b/c yes they are, but that is no reason to put others down.just b/c everyone likes something doesn't make it any different

Pffft if it wasn't for Metallica there would be no metal! Metallica started thrash metal, then came Anthrax Sepultura Slayer and then everybody caught all along and becamse metal...so if it wasn't for Metallica there would be no Disturbed KoRn Slipknot Mudvayne SOAD or anything...and all the best are those...SO BE THANKFUL FOR METALLICA

did everyone miss the fact that in flames, trivium, arch enemy, shadows fall were all mentioned above, and all you people can talk about is how good mudvayne, and slipknot are???? i worry about the future of metal with so many of you thinking like that. no disrespect to your fav bands or your musical taste, but you should delve futher into the scene. there are so many bands musically superior to them with so much to offer. judging by the comments though, i dont think anyone's ever heard any bands that wouldnt fall into the dreaded nu metal catergory. and shmotz101, pre black album metallica is the foundation for all things metal ( along with a few others: slayer, maiden, priest, overkill, etc) so right on....

"hey", are you looking for attention? it sounds like it. lame..................xanax, ridiculous. snorting, even more idiotic.............."lookscanbedecieving", only 300 people went to that show? are you kidding?! that's awful...............I wish i was in vegas when that show was played..............bummer.

Metallica sold out on the Black album....
Not because it made alot of money but because they made simple, catchy, repetitive songs like "Enter Sand Man" instead of all over the place songs like "Battery", "Master of Puppets" and "One".....And if you think St. Anger is worth defending on any level then you are being a blindly loyal fan without a single toe in reality and Metallica will cash in on your loyalty until they implode, just like Korn.

metallica did NOT sell out. sure everything after the 1st 4 albums inst as good as the early albums but metallica decided to change. they are NOT greedy, they didnt get permission. if napster got their permission they would probaly let napster have their songs for free. metallica are letting people download their songs for free on their website so it prooves their NOT greedy.
